The app uses the "Physical Therapy" session type to ensure continued background operation, even when the screen is off. This allows voice assistant commands, audio reminders for completing the current interval, and transitions to the next interval. When the timer is in "Stop and Wait" mode or extended rest mode (over 30 seconds), proper background operation preserves your progress. In the current version, the app does not collect, store, display, or transmit any data (e.g., heart rate, step count, etc.).
