The WUKY Public Radio App allows you to listen to WUKY live, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule for all the WUKY streams at once! You can explore On Demand content, search for stories, bookmark a story for later, and wake up to WUKY with the alarm clock!
Live Streaming
• DVR-like controls (pause, rewind, and fast forward). You can pause the live stream to have a conversation and pick up right where you left off! Or rewind to catch a comment you just missed!
• Listen to live streams from WUKY even while traveling! Start the app and your favorite station starts playing – no clicks to start listening.
• Integrated program schedules for every station. You can display up to three of your favorites at a time or flick once to see the schedules for all of your favorite stations.
• One click stream switching – flip over to the program you noticed on another stream with a single click.
• Listen to WUKY in the background while browsing the web or catching up on your emails!
On Demand
• Access public radio programs from multiple content providers (NPR, PRI, APM and WUKY) easily and quickly.
• DVR-like controls. Pause, rewind and fast forward your program with ease.
• When listening to national programs, individual story segments (when available) are listed so you can review and choose one or listen to the entire program.
• Easy to access past programs.
• The WUKY Public Radio App displays the web page associated with the program or story segment you are listening to On Demand so you can explore for more information.
Radio Bookmarks
• Save what you were listening to (Live or On Demand) so you can replay, follow-up, or share it later by simply clicking “Bookmark”.

Used to love it

The new version of the app seems great when it works but most of the time it won’t stream live radio.

“New and improved” app fails to deliver

I love WUKY and will always support but … The 2022 updated app is annoying. Every time I access it, I get an intro asking for a donation (I’m a monthly automatic supporter); the app fails frequently and then I’ve got to hear that $ request again; the app freezes a lot and won’t load - I have to go to the website to access streaming where I get the $ request again. I’ve contacted customer service via email and recd a generic response. I’ve followed all the customer service recommendations including removing the app and reinstalling - all to no avail! But - I’ll keep listening and supporting cause the music and local news is GREAT.

Great station

Enjoy listening WUKY while working out in the gym. I wish that there are more features, e.g., being able to see the playlist.

What’s great about a radio is you turn it on and it plays.

When I open a radio station’s app, I would like it to start playing the station. It seems like that should be the default. Previous review, Sept 2018 Works well but schedule out of date When you open the app it proports to show what is playing, but the schedule isn’t kept up to date. It says Dinner Party Download (Sat 9/1/2018, 11:55 AM), which hasn’t been on for months. It would be helpful to have a schedule for the week available from the app. If there is one, I haven’t found it.

WUKY Classics

The best thing about listening is that Tom Godell plays the complete classical piece. Now I want to hear Aran Kachaturian symphonies and his SPARTACUS symphonic piece and ballet music.

Love

I love keeping up with WUKY after I've moved to Missouri. That being said, it is slow to load and stops often to reload.

Playlist

Why doesn’t the app show a playlist for what is currently playing? I have to go back to the website in order to see what song is playing.
