The app has been accepted by AICTE, the higher education regulator in India that has 12000 colleges and over 7 million students each of whome will be impacted.
This will enable AICTE to release happiness rankings of each institution and in turn enable each student to see their own position in the rankings amongst 70 lakh students.
While happiness is elusive and intangible and is explained in several forms, we have created an app that looks at a unique mind-map and mind-share of an individual. This it does by examining an individual's posts on a timeline.
At a point in time when the user updates the timeline, he/she is asked which aspect of her/his life that it pertains to. ( refer 6 aspects mindful ( viz; wallet, health & fitness, family, documents etc) + 6 aspects heartful ( conscience, inhibitions, dilemmas, ambition etc ). For aspects updated regularly these remain "green"' the ones not updated for a week turn "yellow", the ones not updated for over 2 weeks turn "red" and the ones not updated for over 3 weeks turn "grey". Life is like a home with 12 picket fences around it. if a few pickets are down, it renders the house vulnerable and susceptible to invasion by something else.
Stress today is a result of too much focus on only one or two of these aspects and neglecting one or several of these aspects where an individual is lost in the new digital cloud and fog and is not able to forecast the ignored aspects and then suddenly gets stumped when one of these ignored aspects tend to spin out of control.
The app is a fun filled journey that encourages the individual to update aspects looking at the frame of each aspect in green, yellow, red and grey colors. While this is the mindshare aspect of the app... it has two other interesting features: Mind-map and happiness index. Mind-map refers to the total posts updated under any one aspect as a percentage of total updates for any given time period: thus family was 20 posts out of 800 posts or only 5% of the mindmap. The happiness index is the difference between forecasted happiness and real happiness then that is computed by asking the individual two pertinent questions each morning: "How was your yesterday?" and "What is your forecast for today?" the variance between these two then is calculated as the stress or distance from happiness.
Thus happiness is a balanced diet of all vitamins that must nourish all aspects of a human being. the app helps determine and calibrate an individual's life spread across all her/his life aspects spread evenly.
