Cannot get it to connect no matter what I try!
Bear with me, I promise this ends on a good note! But first a small tale for your reviewing entertainment. Ok, so for the life of me I couldn’t even get IN TO the aroma connect app. Finally, after making sure my browser security settings were not blocking my login, deleting and reinstalling, restarting my phone, etc etc to no avail… I have in and called the support number. After a lovely chat with the agent, who was advising me of the firmware updates (how do I do this if I can’t login to the app), she suggested something that seemed like blasphemy - create a new account, or delete my account and make a new one (!?!). This finally clued me in - and I asked for clarification/scoffed at deleting my account, ‘but I can’t delete my account(!) / I’m supposed to use my YL login, right??’ **lightbulb moment** You need to CREATE AN ACCOUNT TO USE. The account is separate from your YL account 🤦♀️ LOL. I suggested they add this info to all of the instruction guides. Wouldn’t hurt to add a disclaimer on the app screen either; ‘This requires separate account from your YL login’. Hopefully you all don’t run into this same issue and get a chuckle out of my review. Once in to the app, make sure you choose the right device type (the alarm clock diffuser is the Wake-up Light, not Luna Mist). Love the light changing options. Love that you can specify labels for what’s in the diffuser pods so you don’t have to open if you can’t remember what you put in there. Love the routines you can create.
I have had no luck getting this app to connect to my wall diffuser - and I do basic device troubleshooting for my job. I love my LunaMist, but I guess I’ll be using it without this app. My mom got both the LunaMist and the Wake-up light, but I could not get either of hers to connect to her connect either. I have iPhone, she has Android. We may just have to wait until this app has had more development before it’s going to be useful.
I had no problems connecting to the app for the LunaMist. I only gave 4 stars due to the nightlight. I first turned the diffuser to indefinite but it was too strong for the area it was placed in. I decided to create routines so that it wouldn’t use as much of the oil. This works great for the diffuser part but the nightlight only works with the diffuser running so hopefully, no one needs the nightlight when the diffuser is scheduled to be off. This issue may be more on the design of the diffuser than the app but this is the only place I knew where to leave a review.
When setting up a password or the internet password the app will not except lowercase y. It puts a u in instead. It will only except the y as a capital.
I have both the LunaMist and Wake-Up Light diffusers. I have tried several times to connect them to my 5G network and can’t do it. I’ve deleted the app, reinstalled, and still don’t have any success.
I love this app! It is user-friendly, with an intuitive interface that makes it easy to set up and customize my diffuser sessions. Nothing better than coming home to the fresh smell of orange! I experienced a seamless Bluetooth connection that allowed me to effortlessly integrate essential oils into my daily routine. This is app is perfect for anyone looking to enhance there Smell so wellness with minimal hassle.
When I first connected all worked great. About a week later I couldn’t use the app to turn on the Luna Mists. I even had to unplug them to reset to turn on manually. Just now I had to uninstall the app and reinstall it to finally get them to work again. I love being able to use the app to control them but it is frustrating when it doesn’t work correctly.
I’m not one to leave reviews, but this has been nothing short of a nightmare. Getting my first two diffusers to connect was less than magical. Certainly not easy, and I’m tech savvy. Now, I’ve been trying to get my third diffuser connected for 2 days. It won’t connect no matter how many times I try and troubleshooting ideas thrown my way. One of which was uninstalling app and reinstalling. Guess what… that locked me out of my account and even if I do a password reset the reset password is not accepted. I’ve been so tempted to send all three diffusers back! Update! I’m thankful to finally report that everything is finally working as advertised. We only wish the “rest” routines allowed us to run the machine for longer than 7 hours and 59 minutes. If using this for children— they need more than 8 hours of sleep and the turning off earlier than that can wake them. Suggested sleep times from the medical community: 6-13 year olds need 9-12 hours and 14-17 year olds need 8-10 hours. Please look into updating the app to allow longer sleep periods!
The developers are working out the bugs in this brand-new app. Looking forward to seeing its full potential with my Wake-Up Light/Diffuser!
