Zapmap: EV charging points map

Why is this App in US? If you try to set a route, it only works in UK and Ireland! I’m glad I didn’t even agree to the 7 day free trial. Waste of time.

This app isn't able to do one of its main functions, as it reports "payment declined" for every credit card (both Visa and Mastercard) that works fine in other systems, and even the Apple Pay support fails with the same error. Frustrating since this is the only way to pay for Connected Kerb without getting a new smartphone or Apple account just to set the region to UK (and all other public chargers around here cost an astronomically expensive £0.85/kwh). The tech support says that they don't support American credit cards, but they're literally the only place in the UK we've encountered that doesn't, so that's no excuse.

There is no option for Rivian. I can’t imagine why an EV app wouldn’t have one of the largest electric only vehicle companies. Seems pretty stupid

I am getting really tired of going to stations where the App says Allstar is accepted even tho it is not

This app costs a significant outlay for a service that is not yet fit for purpose. In Apple Play mode you constantly have to refresh the screen to get charger location updates. This is very frustrating and inconvenient when driving. Availability of chargers is rarely up to date so is useless. Also if you do add some feedback after a ‘check in’ to such as ‘more chargers here would be useful’, you get a snappy response that you shouldn’t be charging at such a location when busy! Not sure who made them the charging police. As a woman who drives on her own on long journeys I have to choose busier locations for security, not a pub car park with no lights! Just not very consumer friendly to respond like that.

Can you reconsider your position with regard charging for accessing this feature on carplay - seems a little shortsighted in comparison to many other apps?? Could you look at another model eg offer a basic version for free maybe? Thanks

Would be much better if the app could filter to only show chargers that are compatible with your car.

Couldn’t activate the free trial - gave up after 3 attempts-I authorise the payment on my banking app as mandated by the zapmap app but on returning to the zap map app the previous payment screen verification page has closed and so the only option is then to click for free trial , authorise the payment card return to zapmap and so the process starts again to be repeated and repeated… useless

Loads of chargers all over the uk thar are missing from this app!!
