Zen Brush 2

The second version is a very well balanced app, I really missed project saving option in ZB1, nice to have it. On another hand no feeling of a little bit overloaded app, like ZB3. All the essential tools to make ink sketching, Chinese and Japanese writing and some more elaborate things like mimicking Go Hua on iPad. Black and red paint with dilution option plus eraser - quite enough. Love it, use it, recommend it.

Мало кистей мало цветов. Много простеньких бумажных фонов. Мало простора для творчества. На мой взгляд своих денег не стоит.

Особенно порадовал огромный набор предустановленных текстур бумаги. Почувствовал себя художником :)

Просто то, что надо. Обязательно рисуйте с помощью Apple Pencil, кисть тогда чувствует силу и наклон. Как я раньше жил без этой программы? Заменяет бумагу, кисти и краски на 100%, множество разных вариантов оформления. Повторяемые иероглифы впечатываются в память, так как письмо становится заразительным. Однозначно 5 звёзд!

Yep! More colors and backgrounds would be nice!

But why buttons are so small?

I have been practicing Sumi-e since I studied under my teacher Ami Wada in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since getting my first iPad I have tried many different Apps to continue my practice without the actual charcoal ink, rice paper, and brushes. Of course there is nothing like using the real material to practice Sumi-e, but if you live in a country as I do now, where it is difficult to get Sumi-e supplies and material this App is a great alternative for people who like to practice their Sumi-e and get inspired to find a Sumi-e teacher to learn from using the real material. I like to add that I have used Zen Brush since it came out several years ago and it is a great App. But Zen Brush 2 is excellent. I would like to ask PSOFT to add the following colours in a future upgrade: Yellow, Blue, and Green. The yellow comes in handy when one want to practice painting carp. The blue comes in handy when one want to practice painting certain types birds. And the green comes in handy for children who want to practice Sumi-e with their parents. To the developers of this excellent APP. Thank you and keep up the great work. Sincerely, Arjuna
