Must pay to use
The app doesn’t let you take photos unless you pay. I don’t understand the point of it if we can’t try it out.

Honestly this app and the mono version are great, I pay for both. I think they both desperately need a way of choosing focus. It makes it really difficult to use for photography if you’re relying on whatever the camera focuses on. The other thing is the app claims to take the photos in RAW, but it stores them as heif, I’d like the option to select. Other than that, it’s shaping up really well!
I like this app enough to purchase however a long press on the app icon does not offer zoom levels despite having 3 on the standard iPhone 15 model (0.5, 1.0, and 2.0). I can’t think of a technical reason why this only works on the pro model. I like the widget on Lock Screen and the simplicity of the app.
The one issue I have is the viewfinder is 3:2, but the photos are output in 4:3. It would be great if the photos could be output in 3:2 to match the viewfinder. Right now, it either undermines your composition, or requires you to manually crop after (both of which undermine the point of the app). Would also be great to have an option in the settings to disable the iPhone’s auto macro mode. This often kicks in too soon and I end up fighting with it, which takes away from the intended experience. Lastly, perhaps a simple button to toggle between fixed white balance? I know the app isn’t supposed to be a manual camera, but in my own photography I find sticking to 5600K and 3200K helps preserve the mood. The iPhone’s auto white balance neutralises things too much. With these QoL changes, this app would easily be 5 star. Love the look of the photos and it really does make you focus on framing and composition.
Images straight out are sharp, very low noise, and colours are handled well. Just needs a tap to focus. Auto prioritises background when you have a close foreground object, which makes sense, but sometimes you want the opposite. Perhaps not even a tap to focus, maybe a slider to adjust ‘preference’ of near - default - far areas. That way you can keep the hassle-free theme.
Love the app and the widget too
Great app, I don’t want to have to mess with too many settings when taking a photo. However, I’d like to see the following changes: 1. Lose the logo/splash screen after first launch - I want to get into the app as quickly as possible. 2. Flip the shutter button when I rotate to landscape so I can be sure photos will be taken in landscape mode. 3. A Button to switch between front/back cameras, and the different lenses. I don’t want to long-press the app icon as it’s too slow and fiddly. Thanks!
