Fake ads inaccurate pronunciation
The ads on Instagram was so misleading, they showcase short clips of anime with subtitles, giving the impression that the app offers similar content. IN FACT, it is just an below average Japanese language studying app that primarily consists of flashcards and spelling quizzes.
The pronunciation is inaccurate and the developer did nothing to improve it. Because of this, I have stopped using it
I installed and accidentally purchased as I forgot to turn off the auto subscription
The subscription fee is way too expensive for such functions.
Expensive app with no interactions.
Not worth the price at all. Just simple flash cards that you can find online. There are much more interesting japanese app out there.

Updated review:
Bought full version. Don’t be fooled by the ads, all this is is a glorified SRS flash card system with a variety of exercise types which is helpful and there is a huge variety of terms.
That being said the pronunciation for a lot of words is non standard (especially those ending in に)
Some words have definitions that don’t seem to be the most common (ie 一般に行き渡らせる “become a law” seems odd)
You can't speak Japanese just by learning a bunch of vocab.
Bad
Fake advertisement
The app serves as a useful companion if you already have some basic knowledge of Japanese or if you're already studying the language with a teacher. However, it falls short in terms of accurate pronunciations in some instances.
One major drawback I found was the misleading ads they promote on Instagram. They showcase short clips of anime with subtitles, giving the impression that the app offers similar content. However, in reality, it is just an average Japanese language studying app that primarily consists of flashcards and spelling quizzes. The only reason I am still using it is because I’m too lazy to pursue a refund
In comparison, I have been using another app called Memrise for over two years, and it surpasses this app in many aspects. Memrise provides actual videos of Japanese speakers pronouncing words, which enhances its reliability and offers a more immersive learning experience.
needs work
- some word’s definitions are off
- pronunciation of words is a bit weird (especially those ending in に) which can really throw you off. The app puts a lot of emphasis on listening, so if you are hearing the wrong thing often, it’s quite an issue
- needs to have hiragana/katakana/furigana on all the words’ kanji. Especially for longer words / phrases it’s really hard to pick up individual syllables and be able to read the kanji correctly
Awesome for busy biz travel pple to learn new language
I travel regularly and have a packed schedule and this app help me allocate what little time I have to learning a new language
