1NEWS Reviews

Better than before

I decided to try this app again after being really underwhelmed with it a few years ago. It’s much improved. I’d even say I prefer it over the other NZ news apps now. There’s minimal ad noise and the layout is nice and clean. Looks like the iPad version is actually made for iPad now too rather than just a tiny column in the middle of the screen like it used to be.

Not for iPad

App does not work for iPad. You only get a sliver of article on screen.

I use to be able to live stream the news shows

I use to be able to stream the live news shows here in America, but can’t anymore. I liked to keep up with what’s going on in New Zealand since my grand baby lives there (with her parents of course). The written word is ok, but I do miss the morning show.

Crashes

Loads to splash screen then crashes Does not work : (

Used to work well

Scruff-bob on

Not sure if it is due to an update, but recently, for whatever reason, videos only seem to load about 10% of the time. The rest of the time it just shows a black screen. Very annoying. Apart from that it works for me.

No full screen video on iPhone

MobilizerNZ on

United States

Please support full screen video on the iPhone - it is annoying having the large white bar with a red "x" taking up so much screen real estate

Not good :(

WildOne7 on

United States

I like the previous version a lot better. This update doesn't allow you to view specific content from a particular show like Breakfast or Seven Sharp etc. Rather than being programme specific, the news is now shattered all over the place :(((

Better, but video is wrong

TiboriusMax on

United States

Video wrong aspect, not easy to navigate. And the ireport part is awful. I gave up trying to send pix. Too small, no next button, just crappily made.

Grrrrrr

I love this app... when it works. 50% of the time I tap on a story, the app shuts down. Very frustrating.
