Don’t Bother

Stick with VLC! That is totally free works beautifully, smoothly and never fails. Using exactly the same login credentials 8Player charges for an app that fails every time! Why would anyone sane choose this?!

Limitations not obvious

There are 3 8player apps, Basic (?), Lite and Pro. Although it doesn’t say it anywhere in the descriptions, but the both non-pro versions have been crippled in so far that they only give access to the first 5 files in a folder, the rest are locked out, so basically not fit for purpose. It should be clearly stated as to what limitations exist, then you know if you'll have to stump up the money for the pro version to get full functionality. Other than that it seems to work during the very little use I made of it.

Wrong price

I dont understand I paid £7.79 for pro version and price is £4.99 more then price, somebody can me explain that

Nearly perfect

Lovely interface, and good functionality. Would get 5 stars if it were possible to log in to a Windows 10 (SMB) server. A lot of apps have this issue, but then others, eg Player Xtreme don’t, so it must be fixable.

Useless!

Useless if you don't buy in-app-purchase .

Great app

Best video player on app store, love that it hooks up with my NAS you can download to the ipad over wifi... Never have to use iTunes to sync vids

Best iOS media player on market

After purchasing most of the media players on the App Store I have found this to be by far the best easy navigation solid playback great !!!!!

Get out of the sandbox

The app looks to work but to make any use of it you have to buy the in app extension and this fails. It's still caught in the sandbox testing area so users can't buy iaps... If I don't find something better by the time you fix it I'll update the review.

Glitchy video and no audio

Tried using app to stream video files from media server. Video breaks up a lot and no audio stream being received on mkv files. Also, paid for in app upgrade and the added features are non-functional. Download manager barely works. I will be looking for a refund.

Superb

Plays all files through my NAS box, my PC. Simple and clean. Excellent application
