They changed the app UX AGAIN and you just can’t scroll the top post infinitely as before - it’s just couple of posts stick to the top for several days. Extremely annoying switched to other apps where you can actually refresh the content and not see the same posts again and again

I’ve been using this app for around 10 years and it was my go to place for memes, humour and all about silliness, however over the last year it’s just become less about funny and more about spreading fake news, pure hatred and abysmal discrimination. It’s a really sad thing to have seen it go so downhill. I deleted it a while ago and recently reinstalled it to see if it had gotten better, but if anything it seems to have gotten worse. The really grim thing is that it was a place for many variations of people to use and laugh together and it was such a wonderful community (bar the odd idiots but that’s always the way, now I fear it’s only them left), and I feel for the people that have to see the vile things being spread on there about their race, religion, etc in particular. It needs a big clean up, or at this point to just to be cast into the fires of Mordor. Sad times.

I’ve been on 9gag for over 10 years and it used to be one of the most funniest and entertaining places on the internet, but every year it become a little bit more right wing. It’s now just extreme, so around 6 months ago I stopped using it as it was horrible - real core hatred - and there was illegal stuff on there too, eg encouraging violence against certain minorities. Today, on a whim I decided to see what the app was like and it just looks like it’s become worse. Hardly any funny stuff, and nearly every other post was racist or anti-immigrant or anti-muslim. And I don’t just mean regular mainstream opinions, I mean vengeful hatred, full of violent themes and allusions to race wars. And plenty of fake videos. At this stage I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of the extremist posts are from foreign powers trying to split western societies along racial lines. This has all the hallmarks of such an operation. To be fair, the app could still be useful for one thing - it could provide the police with a list of potentially violent right-wing extremists. There are some really angry people there! (Long post but no potato, 9GAG doesn’t deserve it anymore.)

The app is full of racist people spewing racist hateful garbage and the app owners don’t care. Came back to it after a few months and greeted by a racist meme on top page. Well done admin.

A platform literally centred around GIFs and you remove support for Giphy in comments? What on earth?!
