Alto FAQ
Is Alto free?
Yes, Alto is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Alto legit?
🤔 The Alto app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I’ve never willingly subscribed to the membership of this company. I just downloaded the app and was trying to see its features but according to my banking account, I was charged $12 membership. Another predatory business that benefits from our out lack of time and attention to read the fine print before downloading or creating an account. Avoid.
Given Up on Alto
I have truly tried to be a user of Alto. But the website is so misleading! I received an offer for $10 off of a ride. But, on their website, I can figure out how to use the $10 coupon. This has happened on many occasions. It’s quite obvious that Alto doesn’t want you to use their coupon. I like the rides on Alto, but their charges are twice as much as Uber or Lyft, and coupons are worthless.
This service is not serious
They bribe airports and get fancy cars, charge double everyone else… all to hire low skill drivers that take twice as long to get to you.
App is a joke
All I’m trying to do is get a quote as a guest and when you select your location it just resets and resets. Tap select tap select tap select, doesn’t go anywhere. What kind of business are you people running? Get real. Deleted.
Worth it!!
These folks are the best! The fantastic customer service support team was very helpful and understanding. Extremely comfortable and clean vehicle, with a safe minded driver behind the wheel, who was very nice. Highly recommend the membership if you frequent ride sharing services.
The best rideshare I’ve tried
Remember when the Uber experience was amazing —pre Uber x.
That’s what Alto is.
Amazing experience. Every time.
Trip on in Alto
Always a n easy ride with professional s who
Know what and where. You have to try it if you have not
It’s worth every penny !!!
You will see

Needs ability to add multiple stops
Without the ability to add multiple stops this app is useless! If you want to get picked up at point A and make multiple stops, and then get dropped off back in spot A it will stop and end the trip as soon as you get picked. This is so short sided. Also wait times are extremely long 30+ minutes! Great drivers but horrible app.
Too Many Bugs
Was trying to book at ride but the app is buggy and wouldn’t let me select my airport terminal
3pm on a Tuesday - NO CARS AVAILABLE?
Decided to sign up for Alto so my teenage (+13) son could get a ride home from a school/learning event about 8 miles from my house. When I tried to use Alto to get a ride for him at 3p, I was repeatedly unable to do so—because the app kept telling me, sorry “it’s busy. There are no cars available.” At 3pm on a Tuesday?!? Tried about 4 times before I gave up. Immediate delete on this stupid app, and then I was left scrambling to find a ride home for my son.
Forget this app; Alto is 2.5x more expensive than other more commonly known ride services, and you can’t even count on there being a car. 1 star all day.
