a place full of pedos and groomers preying on minors
(if u don’t wish to read all of what u had typed, just scroll to the very bottom and read the last paragraph) i had downloaded this app a month ago with the sole goal in mind to start a social experiment on what my experience would be like on this app as two different people. my two characters were that of a 15 year old who has the trait of a cutsey girl and the other of a 16 year old who has the trait of a cold, or a ‘chill’ girl who is willing to discuss mature topics. the conclusion of the experiment was as hypothetical: the 15 yr old received more messages of people lusting after her (most were adults) in comparison to the 16 yr old. while both character are 1 yr apart, they are still minors, hence was groomed during my stay in this app. Here are a few examples of what i received on the 15 year old account: nsfw topics, grooming (with one 20 smth year old calling me his slave and even sending r*pe threats), asking for nudes/sending them to me etc. These are just a few examples of what i had received. the thing is, i never once showed my face on this app and had brought my age to their attention multiple times throughout. while most of my experiences were unpleasant, i had experienced wholesome communications with some people in smaller servers, got to discuss common topics and was quite fun in general. hence my advice is, if u do download this app, avoid large aminos (or anything to do with anime in general) and just socialize in smaller ones. in conclusion, this app is full of creeps and idiotic people whatnot, it isn’t safe for minors in general and there should be more rules enforced in this app. (the admins aren’t doing much to ban people) however, there are good people in this app with the same mindset as yours, trying to find friends with the same interests in mind. please be careful of who u talk to and stay safe!
