AmpliTube TONEX

This app is amazing. It looks and feels just like the TONEX pc or Mac program. Easy to use with tons of tone models that sound like the real deal, especially if you pay a little more for upgrades. I almost knocked off one star because I paid for the max subscription but it did not unlock all built in models and could not get it to work with much effort and a support ticket. So I got a refund through Apple. I purchased the TONEX pedal which unlocks MAX on all devices (only the big pedal does) and everything now works perfectly and 100% unlocked. So I kept it at 5 stars because the good FAR outweighed the bad in this case. Keep it up IK, your making new fans everywhere.

I’ve noticed a huge improvement in the stability of it loading with the most recent update. Just wanted to notice this as a change since my last review.

During the last update, you can no longer save your settings in Logic Pro for iPad. I’ve contacted through Facebook and have sent a request through email on the website. I have not heard back yet. When will this be fixed is now going on two weeks?

Doesn’t work at all for me. As soon as I search a model or preset, I can’t play samples or get any sound. Trash.

I love the hardware, but their software doesn’t get common tasks done. You own TONEX MAX (equally as bad) and have a TONEX Pedal, and you have everything including your iRig HD X registered to the same account. You would think all of you presets, purchases and cab IR’s would be available on both apps, right? They are NOT. You are stuck with only the free stuff off of ToneNet on this app. Now, who is writing this software? Don’t they understand what owners of this fine hardware need to do to get their tones working…and working everywhere? Apparently not. What a shame! Such excellent, capable hardware crippled by crap software. IKM, get your act together. There are many excellent sounding alternatives out there. Fire the knuckleheads who don’t understand basic “simple” functions of what users need to do. It’s not supposed to be complicated or impossible. Fix the issues.

Useless garbage. Unable to use it because the app does not load. It would be great if they can focus on quality not quantity. Imagine going to a perform a show and app won’t open. Tested on several devices with same issues. Seems that there server went down or blocked. To me this is no where ready for any performances. No preset export or sharing or Tested on 2022 iPad Pro /iPad Pro 2015/ iPhone SE Note to IK we know you are IP blocking which is easy to to bypass with VPN. 3 months later with same issues on new version.

I got this app so I can use it on a mobile basis on gigs. After weeks of working with IK Multimedia about the app not booting up at gigs I was finally told that if I had any presets downloaded from ToneNet that I would then always need a WiFi connection for the app to load (authorization check for downloaded presets require an internet connection). So if you intend on using this app on a mobile basis you can forget it. It won’t boot up without a internet connection. They need to fix this

Connecting with iRig HD X. Other than a slight amount of lag with my iPhone 12 pro Max (compared to TONEX pedal with no perceived lag), it’s awesome. Great practice set up in the living room without having all my gear cluttering things up.

App looks nice. But unable to use, it will not logon to my account.

This is not only a rival to Fractal for sound quality, but easily matches or beats any hardware profiler while costing vastly less to use and get started with. They also sell a pedal if you want that stores your amp profiles, and again… it’s cheaper than even the crappy multifx pedals out there.
