Ancient Gods: Card Battle RPG

I love the game and gameplay, my favorite deity is Anubis, really badass and fun to play. Are more deities gonna be added in the future?

Great gemplay, but need(very need, super need) a better in game story and overall effect

It’s like other rogue likes but the game is playing against you sometimes. I’ll have a 22 card deck with 17 attack cards and the game will wait for a turn where I would need it to decide I drew every card but an attack. It happens everytime I get to the end so either play with only attack cards in your deck and hope you get a removal or just don’t play. If you try the game will screw you over anyway. Not just like that either. I defeated the last boss only for these effects to apply: take 42k dmg on your next turn and you cannot kill the enemy. Also health doesn’t matter. You have 12k at the highest? Cool, average attack later is 24k. Not even at max level

I downloaded this because I heard it was similar to slay the spire. I might have to say I enjoy this game more. It’s very well made, tons of decks, awesome gameplay, no required ads.

Alright, as with any game I’ve got some critiques and suggestions, and I’ll get to those later, but first let’s start with all the stuff I love about it. The characters are all unique and also start with their own class, and you start with 3 characters each with completely different playstyles. I can’t wait to see new characters and classes. There’s no forced ads which is super awesome. Chaos islands are fun and interesting and I like the map setup. I love that the different campaign levels split up the pantheons, and I enjoy the challenges a lot. Next, let’s move to some of the not so great things. Expeditions have no way of selecting their level for each god and cost the same as a full run in the chaos island, and you don’t have enough time to regen your energy by the time the expedition ends. While I’m not a fan of premium passes, thus far nothing has been offered in the premium passes that can’t be earned by playing normally, as long as that continues to be the case, I don’t mind at all. There are voluntary ads for rewards like rerolls and free summons, the problem is that they… don’t work. Not that it plays the ad and doesn’t give a reward, the ad doesn’t play at all, and I can’t get the rewards if they don’t play. If I try to reroll a skill, it’ll break and I’ll have to close and reopen the game to continue. Finally, I’ll end off with my personal suggestions on the off chance the devs see/read this. So, first and foremost, I’d love to see an endless mode, where you could farm currencies while fighting increasingly difficult enemies. Secondly, adding some more options to expeditions would be great. I think a menu before starting each expedition would be awesome, first allowing you to select what difficulty expedition you want to do, and then two sliders, one would increase the likelihood of success at the cost of length, with a 100% success taking 8 hours at default energy, and the other would decrease the energy cost while increasing the time it costs, again with 0 energy taking 8 hours, to do a guaranteed 0 energy expedition would take 24 hours to complete. Obviously, a fix for the ad issue would be great. In conclusion, fantastic game, I’ve been playing it almost nonstop since I got it, like any game, it’s got a few things I would personally change, but absolutely would still recommend, I’ve been having a great time and can’t wait for more in the future updates.

Good game like the art style

No ads, friendly to FTP players, available offline, and high quality graphics. My favorite game for long plane rides!

The games main flaw is that there isn’t enough game. It has some of the most fun mechanics I’ve found in a card game app (aside from masterduel since that’s literally just yugioh), but I finished the “campaign” in just a few hours. The challenge mode seems to be the prolonged content but there isn’t enough content elsewhere to support your progression through it. Yeah you can grind but it would be better if there was more to grind through than just the 2 modes, 1 of which stops giving rewards after you 100% it which only takes completing 6-7 generic tasks. I want to play more but without more to play through I’m just gonna leave it

The mobile version has more content than the steam version

For some reason, they decided to remove the button that allows me to exchange tokens for tomes, yet they still gave me a whole bunch of tokens for free. I have no way to use them and now I feel like I’ve been scammed. I waited through a couple of updates for them to fix the problem, but they haven’t done so. Instead they added a new character WHICH I CANT UPGRADE DUE TO THE AFOREMENTIONED PROBLEM. The developers really need to get their priorities straight.
