My favourite synth.
Aparillo is by far my favourite synth. I work a lot with alchemy, which is also superb. I wish Apple would buy Aparillo and integrate it to GarageBand and Logic Pro.

I have the paid version but still only have 38 presets! I contacted them via their website but no reply as yet!

I really have no complaints. I would like that when adjustments are made dynamically with the Audio Unit version inside of GarageBand on iPadOS, using the planetary/solar system as input, dynamic changes are recorded into the MIDI. In other words, the user can make great sounds but presently only the Pitch wheel and mod wheel adjustments take effect. Maybe it doesn’t happen in Cubasis or other DAWs on iOS/iPadOS, but I would pay for an upgrade were that the stumbling block. A lot of iOS synths are in this boat of course. However, on sounds and everything else, this is a beautiful instrument and sound machine, and the planetary system of input is such a great idea and interface. I guess I just want to be able to record everything, that the synth/instrument can do, and that’s not a complaint, just feedback! Take care all.
The sounds are off the chart great, but whenever I try to use Auv3 functionality in GarageBand iOS it frustrates. It seems to record no problem, but if I close the song and reopen it there is no sound, even though I can see the notes are there. Doesn’t happen every time, but more often than not. My iPad and GarageBand are up to date. Shame.
Juicy. Textured. Layered where’s my modudulation? Right here pal. £2000 synth in an app.
Aparillo is a blast, its fantastic for playing around with, tweaking settings on the fly, just to listen to the results, then tweak some more... As someone who likes experimenting with soundscapes, this app is a must have tool for me, its intuitive, flexible and stable. I love it. :)
Sugar Bytes always deliver and this is another top notch synth with some interesting new ideas. Would like to see a few more presets released, even as an in app purchase, to help us preset tweakers.
This app has genuinely blown me away....FM synthesis isn’t the easiest type of synthesis to get to grips with and the synth is complex but when you start to get to get into it the potential is endless. I genuinely can’t believe it’s free as well....and it connects to ableton live. Hats off to sugar bytes.....
I too was led to purchase by a certain YouTube reviewer who I now dis-regard. Hearing the sound surfing of a few of the better sounds led me to be disappointment, and revisiting it recently in search of something different has not changed my mind. It’s visually unique, but either it has masses of capability well hidden by it’s fascinating graphics or it doesn’t offer much in terms of usability, for me it’s the latter. It is however very stable and the free version gives you a good demo to see if it’s for you. If you’re in search of a synth you actually play, alter and jam with, you should probably want to look elsewhere.
