Apollo: Immersive illumination

Get ready to transform your finest moments into art...IF you manage to take pictures with depth data as this app requires. It sounds easy, but I’m stuck with my 6 photos Apollo found when I installed it, no matter what I do. I have portraits with and without blurry backgrounds but it don’t seems to matter.

This is great for enhancing your «portrait» shots with 3D info embedded: it’s easy to add realistic lighting to the foreground subject (or to the background). BUT the app removes the bokeh blur, and there’s no way to get it back or adjust bokeh! Wish this will come back in a mater version. Minor issue is also there’s no fall-off/fade/soft edge for the mask. You’ll get a noticable edge. All in all an app well worth getting. Can easily save images where your subject is too dark, but also be used to make creative effects or pull focus to certain parts of the image through light and shadow.

Get ready for an insane amount of helping tips that you can not get rid of.

Hey, with newest update (2022) I can now pull up all my portrait photos taken with my iPhone and edit the lighting on my iPad. Excellent!

It doesn't work too bad

Won’t download any of my photos. App makes excuses as to why photos don’t show up . I want a refund.

Finally got to to work after upgrading to the iPhone 11 !! Thanks for helping me out awhile back but nothing worked but I deleted the app twice and followed what others have done and bingo !!! HAPPY CAMPER NOW !!!

It only works with the pictures that you have taken with the portrait mode of your iphone. Thats it. Im a professional photographer and this apo could not load a single picture that i had taken with a nikon dslr from my gallery to this app. Its a scheme. At least i knew how to refund.

App offers good tools however lacks many basic UI and is very slow in integration. Don’t know if this are technical issues or the app collects information on its server first before even displaying it to the user. Deleting it as, I am nit sure what else it is collecting? Beware !

The app is a nice concept but I’m unable to access any of the photos edited. I’m disappointed and would like a refund as the app is useless to me.
