Almost completely useless
Doesn’t scan pictures as advertised. Some translations that I can tell aren’t available in english. Long way to come before it competes with other apps offering the same services.

Having trouble reading Japanese? Use SimpleFurigana - a fast and lightweight iPhone Application to add Ruby Characters (Furigana) to Japanese Text.
SimpleFurigana automatically annotates Chinese characters (kanji) in Japanese text with hiragana or romaji (latin characters). Both vertical (tategaki) and horizontal (yokogaki) layouts are supported. Annotated text can be printed or shared. No network connection is required for annotation.
Use the furigana app extension to add furigana to selected text in Safari as well as many other apps. You can even add furigana to entire webpages to help you navigate the web in Japanese.

Does the job!
Very easy to use, automatically pastes the text you have copied, not only FURIGANA but it also gives the definition. Sometimes it detects it incorrectly but hardly an issue. Love the app.
Very unreliable
When used with Safari (on iPad) the results are laughably bad for the kanji I know, e.g. そのラーメンを美味びみしく食しょくべました。 For a learner,wrong information is worse than none.
Must have if you’re a Japanese learner!
I was looking for something that can add 振り仮名 to the entire webpage and then I found this one! It is AWESOME!!! Please keep up the good work!

Doesn’t work after upgrading to IOS version 17.5
Great App but doesn’t input copied text any more, either automatically or manually.
