Description

Legend has it that the old gods were the source of creation.

Lord God Strockanos, the god of the universe, created the Mekaa continent out of chaos and formlessness. He poured his own blood into this land, underneath its thick crust of rocks. The gods of agriculture, destiny and death are all guardians of Mekaa, and the source of arcane magic. Therefore God´s Blood and arcane magic form the essentials of life in this world.

Over the years, humans have become the "lords of all things" in Mekaa, from the original ancient clan of the Alrayans, the migrating Elruips, to the Normaasts who were "exiled" to the end of the world. Humanity has developed a variety of civilizations among mountains, on plains, or in the form of nomad tribes. Although there were conflicts between civilizations and different religions over time, the belief in the old gods, mainly Strockanos, has remained dominant.

However, the advent of the "new god" Indies introduced to Mekaa a new faith, and a new "era" for the whole continent and human civilization.

ABOUT THE GAME
Indies' Lies is a single-player game that combines deckbuilding with Roguelike and RPG elements. It features procedurally generated maps, diverse talent/rune/partner mechanics, and hundreds of cards for different classes to ensure a refreshing experience each run. Indies’ Lies also has a thick plot set in a medieval fantasy world, with story adventures for each character.

GAME FEATURES
- Fun for Beginners, Depth for the Experienced
With the hope to introduce the fun of the deckbuilding strategy to more players, we have adjusted and optimized traditional deckbuilding mechanics to create a smoother and more beginner-friendly gameplay. Meanwhile, more experienced players will find gameplay less restrictive yet challenging enough.

- Take 9 Characters with Unique Traits on a Roguelike Journey
Indies’ Lies now has 9 playable characters from 3 classes: Wizards, Rangers and Mechanists, with each character coming with a unique set of cards and talents. It will be a different journey each time on the procedurally generated maps, where you pick different cards, learn different talents, encounter different events and enemies. Explore the possibilities and find your favorite strategy!

- A Partner System to Spice it Up
Indies’ Lies puts you in command of a team of 1 hero and up to 2 partners. There are over 10 partners, all with distinctive cards and strengths. You can match the hero deck with hundreds of partners’ cards to try different tactics. Instead of acting as a mere tank, the partner brings on more room for flexible strategies and team tactics.

- Craft Your Talent Tree
A unique talent tree is procedurally generated for each run, and talents were designed to suit different classes and builds. There are over 200 talents in total, designed to meet the need for deck development at different stages and for different builds.

- Explore a Medieval Fantasy World
Step into Mekaa, a world caught in the clashes of Gods. By collecting clues for each character, you can unlock each story mode and dive into their quests, whether it is chasing a lost love, fighting the Seven Nightmares, or finding the culprit behind Mekaa’s fall into this dark frenzy.

Big bug on iPad

Taylor Guy on

I’m playing on iPad and whenever there is an ad, it makes the window a fourth the size of the screen and can’t be played anymore. Need to quit and continue. Shame. Game seems promising so far if a little too easy.

Slay the Spire on iOS

louie563 on

This game is brilliant. I have no suggestions. It’s just great. It’s basically Slay the Spire but on my phone. The controls are easy, the maps and encounters are fun, and the story is surprisingly interesting and set in a really well thought out and unique world. There’s also a great rogue lite feature. The ads are minimal and the game is free. Play it

Quite enjoyable

Orange Wizard on

Not really much to say, good deck building, even if a bit too easy when you stack DOTs that seem to last the entire battle but no real complaints.

Good and fun game.

Sidzmizzar on

I play now campaign and it’s a fun game. There are adds to gain extras but from my perspective it’s well balanced.

Seems good but crashes often on older device

Horlix_ on

The game looks good and plays well with some fun mechanics and takes on the card roguelike genre. Sadly it was sluggish and crashed three times mid-battle in the first area on my older device, which was frustrating. If it doesn’t crash on your device I’d heartily recommend the game.

Great game, but

Badgers Demise on

Love the game, but I can’t get the dlc!! It tells me to update the game in the store, but it IS updated!? So basically I’m stuck with just 1/3rd of the game 😕 Pipe dream is for a console port, as it’s already on p.c and mobile 🤞🏻

One of the best solo roguelike deck builders

Thumperwabbit on

Love the design and art style. This is brilliant. Really deep customization with plenty of ways to thin your deck as you choose to add or replace most new cards. Runes allow you to build/augment powerful cards. The card powers have you constantly thinking how to play cards to maximize your damage / block output. I love the way the ads a implemented but also that they can be blocked entirely after one purchase of DLC. The game has offline play once you setup your account too. Only two things I would like to see improved. Firstly I think the iPad needs its own UI layout and aspect ratio to maximize the screen size with HD+ visuals also I have fully maxed the game yet but even completing 3 roguelike and 1 complete story I still haven’t seen an exponential increase in stats/damage that I would have expected. Even with 30+ cards in the deck I still do not see massive damage output or max HP (I’ve seen videos of single attacks at 2000+) Meaning my characters aren’t much more powerful than when I started. But that may improve as I get better or the gameplay increases. Either way I haven’t been so addicted to that “one more fight” aspect of a game in so long. This is a real gem. Buy some DLC and support these developers.

Started pushing ads

Slim Chalkey on

Bought it and itvwas ad free. Now the latest update enforces a privacy policy and has long ads to watch. Shame, I quite enjoyed it, but I’m uninstalling.

Doesn’t work offline, tracks my location!?

ac166 on

The game doesn’t work without internet and is tracking my location according to the App Store page. Super creepy :(

Great deck builder game

Easy to get to grips with, and the artwork is good.
