Yes you can utterly break the game and become invincible if you want to however it’s a lot of fun trying to see what you can actually do and what it throws at you during a run. This is most certainly the best card based game I’ve played, and I’ve played them all. You are barely getting any points for unlocking new skills and weapons. I played a few hours and barely unlocked anything. Amazing game! -- blind Champ, 2024-08-15 ### ***** "Just get it" Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for a mobile game before but I had to add my support for this one. If you have enjoyed Slay the Spire or Monster Train you will LOVE this. There are 6 classes, all with multiple choices of starting weapons, special starting cards and talents. There are also lots of types of build to play around with for each class. Warrior could be a berserker, hitting harder and recovering more health when you take damage; it could be an an armour-clad tank who shrugs off hits and returns damage based on their armour; it could fight with fist weapons which hit harder the more often you draw them, be a ranged crossbow wielded or even start with a grenade launcher which is even more fun than it sounds. You can build around bleeds, poison, fire, frost, critical hits, stagger, self healing, shuffling cards, chaining cards, discarding cards, stacking cards, even charming the enemy into submission, or combine these builds any way you choose. I’m not even scratching the surface of the options and replayability of this game, I get half way through a run and I’m already thinking about starting the next one, inspired by a new combination I’ve seen. The base game has hundreds of hours of playability before you add any of the entirely optional expansions, which offer alternate route choices. There’s a bit of a learning curve but after a few runs it clicks and you start to understand how to put a deck together. I’m writing this review as I’d never heard of this game and took a chance on it. I absolutely love it, so tldr don’t hesitate just buy it. Actually, it’s the only mobile game I’ve never tired of. The devs are constantly creating new content and have a brilliant thriving Discord channel where they interact daily with a very active community. All of which makes it sound very intense - but it’s actually an incredibly fun casual game that you can approach as a bit of fun or really get into the fine detail. So many character classes, each with completely different deck building styles for you to choose from which gives it infinite replay-ability. Eg. If you choose rogue, will you specialise in poison-dealing cards or in charming the opponent into submission? Or perhaps you prefer to try a knight, with cards that deal damage using divine magic or just go all out melee? The game has lots of different mechanics but they’re super easy to pick up due to how well everything is explained and laid out. I’ve played countless hours upon hours and haven’t grown tired of the base game yet.
