Great app and one I’ll be resubscribing for another year
This app only gives two free days of the distraction feature every week and free version is hard to set up.
The only reason I didn’t give it 4-5 stars is because it gets a bit buggy and wouldn’t let me get into some apps. I found this the case only when I clicked whole categories and then de-selected the apps I wanted out of said categories. I got around the bugs but just selected the specific apps I wanted blocked. Works a treat after that.
Great updates to improve functionality thankyou
This app is my favourite because of one simple feature, and that is I can choose when the limits start. All the other screen limit apps just go via a timer and it’s usually interrupting something you are doing and you end up needing to bypass it and then it becomes a habit. With this app I mentally commit to having a break and turn it on when it suits me and it’s much easier to stick to when it doesn’t randomly shut you out because you’ve reach your curfew. Though it also has those features if you want those. I’m happy to pay the small monthly free as it saves me lots of time
I have used this for about a year now & it’s really been effective in reducing time-wasting on social media. I have the strict mode on during my best working hours, and the less strict option for most other hours. I use social media for work but I’m finding I’m now doing this in a more planned way. Until they stop designing social media to steal all your focus, App Block is the best way forward I reckon!
Helps me achieve my goals. I love the location-based blocking. Helps me keep the utility of my phone when I’m out and about, but lock down and focus when I’m at home / gym / university. Worth every penny.
Now if I need something I can look for it.. and only buy what I need rather than ending up buying things on impulse that I can’t afford.
Set it to strict mode with time limit of 9pm-5pm except there is a bug that has it stuck on lock 24/7 for next 7 days. Very annoying as I can’t change the settings due to it being on strict. Otherwise would be a good app.
This is a very useful app. It restricts your ability to access apps that you’re addicted to. You can change the level of restriction from a warning message to a hard block. You can set up schedules and block lists. It has helped me reclaim my productivity on devices, and to use a wider variety of apps. And it actually works.
