Apple Music Classical Reviews
Love this App
I’ve just downloaded this app because I wanted to get a better understanding of classical music. For that, this app is perfect. The bite sized introductions to the eras of classical music are very well done and entertaining. Curated playlists of particular classical composers are easy to just switch on and enjoy. I’d definitely recommend if wanting to get into classical music.
Pointless
I have some classical music downloaded to my phone from my own CD collection, but can’t find a way of listening to it with the classical app so it is pretty pointless. The regular music app works just as well if not better.
Beautiful idea badly executed
The app is beautiful. But the app itself is terribly bad executed. Playlists don't work. Up next doesn't work. Synchronization with the apple music does not exist!
Bad user experience was not an apple thing years ago
Why no native iPad app
Needs a few things to be able to catch up to the music quality. Remote use from another device. Bluetooth and airplay do not transmit hi res quality files ( air play could potentially), have to use a third party cable to plug phone in to DAC to get best quality.
Disappointing
Overall, this has proven to be a disappointing release of a much-anticipated app. Amongst many disappointments, I at least expected it to automatically transfer my vast library of Apple Music files over that matched the *Classical* criteria, let alone simultaneously releasing an app for iPad. How could Apple get this so awkwardly wrong?
Not device friendly
After a parallel evaluation of Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music including Classic I've decided to go with Spotify because I could easily start playing music on my iPhone and then transfer that to Amazon Alexa, Google TV, Windows laptop, or my hifi music rig. I can use voice commands to navigate Spotify on Alexa or Google TV. Apple Music (Classics) needs to open up and adjust to how people listen music, not the other way around.
Incredible search/navigation!!!
This is a fantastic app for classical music fans! It is very easy to navigate and has already exposed me to new time periods and composers. Even if you have not listened to classical much before give it a try!
Apple Music Classical
Just started using it and so far so good. Much better fit for classical music than standard Apple Music. Fantastic range of recordings and good search functions. Good that it’s free for subscribers. Very welcome -thank you Apple
No native iPad app from Apple’s own?
Was surprised to see a prompt to download Apple Music Classical on iPad Pro, but it came as as an iPhone app.
Would have thought Apple does better QC on their own apps given the importance of this ecosystem? Hope this can be resolved by iOS 17
No iPad app and I can’t listen offline
After all this time and Primephonic is replaced by this!?
