It's great but no PLAY NEXT button
Please make the classical library separate from our music library
Great way to enjoy classical music. Also very beginner friendly if you are new to the genre
I really love it, especially the descriptions attached to the works. Some issues i noticed: the add to library option doesn't seem to be doing anything Also, there's no option to add pieces to play queue No download option for offline plays I think fixing these issues would greatly improve the experience
Nice, purpose-built app for classical music. I love how the browse section is divided into categories for composers, periods, etc. Additionally, I appreciate the aggregated list of works for each composer, the editor’s picks, etc. The multitude of playlists for seemingly everything are also wonderful. My biggest complaint is the lack of a shuffle option for playlists. It would be great if that can be added in a future update.
The best and only way to listen to classical music
This application represents pure contempt for fans of classical music. After abusing its market power several years ago to acquire Primephonic, a wonderful classical music service that worked with an array of hifi streaming technologies, Apple killed the service and deprived the classical music world of a decent streaming option. After offering no application for over 18 months, Apple released this incredibly weak replacement. Where are complete liner notes, Apple? Why is your search capability more limited than Primephonic’s was? Where are downloads? Why can’t I create an ad-hoc queue without creating a playlist? Why did it take a year and a half to see an iPad app? Why buy a service you don’t care about and won’t invest in? This is a disgusting insult. Shame on you, Apple.
This is generally a great app but it is marred by the awful and increasingly use of AI portraits of composers of the past. Please stop it!!!
I’ve listened to classical music occasionally while studying in college but never to the depth that this app is pulling me in. I love the booklets attached to each performance that provides depth to the music as you read along and listen. I’m now starting to understand why people who are into classical are so passionate about it. 10/10
