Change - is hard
So I’ve been an avid user for a very long time. And like how simple your app use to be. Now you’ve added extra layers like featured stories, sponsored reads and latest news. Nice in practice but for speed I can’t get to new articles as quickly. Now have this website feel without the speediness of the old app. Can we please toggle back to what it was like from a few days ago as this isn’t a good update for what an app should be. If I want your website I know where to go. But having to scroll down passed the featured stories each time it’s mind numbing.
Good app if u don’t mind intrusive google ads
Google ad banner at bottom is annoying as always shows ads totally irrelevant to me / where I am & any interests etc. All it’s doing is spying on me so I’ll go elsewhere for my apple fix. Uninstalled
Ios14 crash
IPhone XS and ios14 crashes after ½ second when attempting to load an article. Appears to be add related as when the add ribbon loads the app closes (no subscription)

Used to be great, but now the moderators are out of control and promote far left ideologies. They regularly close down threads to promote their political agenda. Give it a miss
Good app with great content
I came to first the website then this reader app after being a listener for some time to the podcast. The articles are informative and the reviews are thorough. I'd like it if new articles were highlighted in some way, but other than that, I've got no complaints at all. Strange that some people give it low ratings because there are ads. You don't get such high quality content as this for nothing.
Still buggy
On iPad, all comments STILL show as being from the same person - possibly whoever posted first. It's been like that as long as I can remember.
Latest update has ads
The release notes of the latest update say, "Bug fixes," but they've also added adverts. Bit sneaky.
When viewing a story, if the writer has mucked up the HTML the story will stop rendering at that point, and to view the remainder of the story you have to view the comments.
I'm just going to use the mobile website. No ads thanks to my content blocker, and the stories render properly.
They fixed it...
I fired off an email to support, letting them know of an issue when selecting images. Within days an update was out. Problem solved. Brilliant!!
Apple Watch Support
Is currently broken, it crashes the application if you launch it on the watch, with out the app open on you phone the watch just displays the name in the top corner :(
