Aramex Global Shopper

Do NOT use Aramex Global Shopper. Customer service out of 10 is -10. Using this service was the worst, most expensive experience of my life. Customs and delivery fees shouldn’t result in being charged double what the item cost to buy online. Total ripoff artists, DO NOT SIGN UP. I used them twice, once for UK to South Africa (6 months later my goods are still in UK and I have to fly there to fetch them myself) and then I thought “maybe it’s me?” : my online purchase via Global Shopper from USA to South Africa: price of goods (invoice): $615/ZAR10897 Aramex charges (delivery):ZAR3496 Aramex charges for customs/admin:ZAR5906 Aramex joining cost: ZAR1500 So basically the goods I purchased cost me double what I paid for the goods online (customs charges in South Africa should be 15% of cost price, not 55% of cost price of goods!). It also took me over 93 emails back and forth over eight weeks, countless attempts via the app and the phone and much grief and time to eventually get my goods delivered to me (I simply gave up on the overpayment factor, I just wanted my shoes!). As for customer service- many of the service agents work two weeks at home, two weeks at work. Good luck trying to get any follow through any time the customer service agent you think is dealing with your case happens to be “working from home” that week. I wish I’d read these reviews before signing up because a year previously another customer had the exact same experience as me. Save yourself time, money and much stress DO NOT USE Aramex Global Shopper. It would have been cheaper to fly to the country, buy and fly back with the shoes.

This thing is a scam, downloaded the app, asked for money but every time I log a fault with support then I never get any

1 Searches aren’t working eg try adding a new delivery address, type in your city and nothing happens 2 Nowhere in the app can I contact someone for support (as things aren’t working as expected within the app)

If you are in South Africa, don’t bother. They don’t answer their phones, and when they do, they are clueless. My package is stuck in customs for 10 days now. They want split invoices from Amazon for each box, that Amazon cannot give. Staff incompetent.

I'm using this app for the first time and it's been a grim experience... My Amazon order was delivered to the Aramex Springfield facility 7 days ago and the app is indicating I only have activity on my account for 2 days. I try to send in-app queries and separate queries to an email address - besides auto-responses, I get nothing. I provided the requested commercial invoice and billing currency information on day 4 after the Amazon delivery and, despite this, I see no discernible progress. Now my confidence levels are low and I'm ready for a fight...

The app used to work fine until I updated it. Now it’s slow, it doesn’t want to load, it times out etc etc. I have to use the website now and have deleted the app

This app is great however sometimes my incoming packages just disappear and I have to log in online which defeats the purpose of downloading an app

Thanks for listening and resolving the rate calculator bug. App is a pleasure to use.

This version of the App looks good and on first appearance seems user friendly but is in fact, complete rubbish. Every refresh on any page like Account or Packages for example fails to load. Have to keep resorting to the mobile web page to get updates and make payments etc.

So cool that I can now pay Customs charges on the App.. Much better user experience - Well done!!
