Art of War 3: Global Conflict (AOW) – is een realtime strategisch online spel in de lijn van de klassieke PC RTS spellen. Beveel, verover en versla je vijand op het slagveld! In dit moderne oorlogsspel moet je strijden met andere spelers in PvP battles, nieuwe gevechtstactieken bedenken, winnende strategieën ontwikkelen en je infanterie, gevechtsvoertuigen, tanks, marine en luchtmacht upgraden om overwicht op de vijand in het gevecht zeker te stellen. 
 
Alle actie vindt plaats in de nabije toekomst. De wereld is ondergedompeld in een wereldwijd conflict tussen twee strijdende partijen – de Confederatie en het Verzet. Kies jouw kant en vecht schouder aan schouder met andere commandanten om deze Wereldoorlog te winnen. Kies de kant van de Confederatie en bescherm de wereld tegen het rode gevaar. Sluit je aan bij de Rebellen en vermorzel het dominante system dat de wereld in zijn greep houdt.

I have played this game since about four weeks and it (of course) reminds me of the good ol’ RTS games like Command & Conquer. I’m absolutely hooked to AOW 3 now. Although the multiple game modes provide a good amount of gameplay, it would be a good improvement to provide certain tutorials for the in-game boosters (infantry-damage booster, economy-booster, et cetera). Because - although I try multiple strategies to defend my base in PvP and simultaneously collecting loot boxes - my opponent has almost double the size of my army. On top of that, I don’t get the idea of a semi-other faction the opponent does or does not play as (they automatically are the “blue faction” on my screen with better tanks and defenses, but probably play as the “red faction” on their screen just like I do. 

So my suggestions of improvements:
• The possibility of two or even three factions instead of “one-and-a-half”
• Tutorials (in text or even a short video) for the in-game boosters
• Tutorials (in text and/or short video) for every unit and building
• Custom Skirmish, so you can play against friends in a custom match in a 1v1, 1v2, 1v3, 1v4, 2v2 or in this same size against or with AI
• Veterancy for units (comparable to Command & Conquer), which is granted to a unit that deals a certain amount of damage and stays alive in three ranks. In C&C, the first rank boosts damage slightly, the second rank boosts damage and movement speed moderately and the third rank boosts both even more and grants (faster) healing/repairing. If a ranked unit is killed by a certain unit from the opponent, this opponent’s unit grants its rank

Multiplayer is geen zak aan. Met multiplayer is het meestal gewoon een uur lang wachten tot de vijand zn main attack doet. De tegenstander heeft ook al heel snel een leger, terwijl ik nog mn gebouwen aan het upgraden ben of zelf een leger bouw. Campaign is wel leuk, multiplayer niet.

I started playing as I was looking for a game that resembled Red Alert and C&C. Great that this game exists. It works well and has many added gameplay features that keep it interesting.
I would love to see a third faction, to diversify the opponents that you play. Now you know with almost certainty that you will be playing agains the opposite faction. With 3 it would keep it a bit more of a surprise.
What does still strike me as strange is that tanks/vehicles move at the same speed or slower than infantry units. Why was this decision made?
