Nothing is free, so I can’t rate how well any of it works. Every time you tap on a letter, it asks if you want to go to the store. If you select “no”, it takes you back to the screen with the letters. If you select “yes”, it takes you to another screen with an upgrade offer £54 or more, and more letters. If you then click on a letter, you are then shown a price for that letter and all of the sounds, words, and phrases that it contains. Each letter is around £2 . No fanks!
I have been using Articulation Station for a number of years. It is not cheap but given that I use it almost daily it has been a great investment. Gone are the hours wasted searching for clip art pictures. They are there at a glance. Some of the pictures are clearly only of use in US, but you can easily edit them out from a word list and save it. I have recommended to a number of parents and they all seem happy, the purchase of single sounds does not work out expensive per family. Of course you do have to remind parents that an adult has to be with the child while playing to give feedback about their responses. However the pictures are lovely and the app has activities that engage the child.
One sound available so can't even see how it works properly, unless you have a spare £45 to unlock it don't bother
We love this app! Sooo good for primary speech targets and the company have been extremely helpful with a query today. Very impressed.
Purely a vehicle to sell the expensive full version. Stick to flash cards
The London Speech Therapy team has used Articulation Station for years and we LOVE it!! No only does it save us hours of colouring, cutting and laminating but our children really enjoy using it in therapy and when practising at home.
It was recommended to me by a speech and language therapist. The app is great but I am shocked that for us in UK it's practically $24 more expensive than the same app in USA.
Brilliant app-everything you need all in one, but the record and playback feature does not work which is a real shame. I would rate 5 stars otherwise.
Articulation Station is the perfect app for any speech and language therapist, especially SLT's on the go. I am never in the same setting two days in a row and this app provides a fantastic range of picture resources for motivating children who are working on developing their speech sounds. Clear pictures are utilised in simple but effective activities with the ability to create your own additional pictures. Ideal for those minor vocabulary difference between the US and UK. Every clinic and school should have one.
I bought the /s/, /ch/ sounds, recorded 2 children and then lost it all. Now you are asking me to buy again...rip off
