Basic sign language is so simple nothing crazy you don’t have to be fluent but you should 100% learn it (would be 5 stars if it had a free plan)

Amazing

After almost 2 days with this app and I know 49 signs and can have short conversations. Absolutely insane, if you want to learn asl this is the best app to do it!

Room for improvement

The signing is clear and easy to understand. I like that they have a search dictionary which is still early days so it isn’t extensive, but hopefully will get larger. The ability to quiz yourself is great but needs to be categorized. I can pick up some signs easily but others (like number counting) I would like to practice on its own, not mixed up with other signs. As a teacher, I know it’s hard to know how to lay out new vocabulary, but this seems to be laid out more for children than adults. I am unlikely to sign lake animals, but need to know more food, banking or transportation. And finger spelling practice is always helpful. I do like the variety of people teaching the signing but I would like to know the regional “dialect” of ASL that is being used here. The yearly price has jumped by $20 so it’s unlikely I will sign up again. I have a fixed income. As much as learning ASL would be useful for me, I cannot afford this format.

I don’t understand

When it asked what sign it was doing there was just a lady standing doing no signs. I tried clicking on something to see if she would do something , there was nothing.

My hearing has declined and more and more I’m finding it hard to communicate. I have tried other Apps for learning ASL but none as good as this. I really enjoying learning g to take the first steps into the world of ASL. Keep up the great videos and learnng.

Better Than Lingvano

With regards to free learning, 10x better than any other appput there. I’d rather support an app that gives so much away for free and changes you so much less than other apps.

THIS APP IS GREAT DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! im a hearing person, and ive always wanted to learn ASL its so cool that people can communicate in a non verbal way. I learned so much in The 2 days of having this app. I was so excited to learn more but im a highschool student without a job so I guess ill have to say goodbye to this app, bc after 3 lessons you have to pay 🫤. but for anyone that wants to learn ASL i would download this app asap i def will be coming back once ive got money!
