Audio Flashcards App Reviews

Great in certain circumstances

I was excited to find this app because it has all the features I’m looking for but it does a poor job of importing files. I tried on both my phone and my iPad. It cuts off my audio. The file to be imported was 1:24 and while the time showed correctly when I played in the preview it cut off the last second or so. And then one time it played correctly in preview but when I used the file in a flash card it showed the length as 1:10 and was drastically reduced in play time. This could be a great resource if you’re only recording within the app but that doesn’t fit my needs.

Simple, effective!

Learning Music by Ear

I’m very happy with this app so far! Love that you can make folders and each flash card has lots of options when making it. It’s great it also keeps the statistics and gives you different practice options. For anyone else trying to learn music my ear, this is great! I record a little clip of me playing the note on the bass ( or other instrument) to play back and then can practice when I’m not at home.

Great concept

Record from Translator for Pronunciation

I record from the translate app on my phone onto the flash card (on my I-pad). I only use my own voice for answers or if I think the pronunciation on the translate app isn’t quite right. This helps me so much to get used to hearing words and phrases.

Probably the worst app of its kind out there. Audio files keep needing to be downloaded after only exiting the app for about a minute or so. It will never download back either, so don’t get too attached to those voice cards. Don’t waste your time with this one. 👍

It crashed! But it still looks promising.

I’m learning the Japanese language as a beginner, and I really want a tool that will let me enter my own words and phrases, and then let me hear them with the iOS excellent, built-in, text-to-speech (TTS) functions. When I saw this app, I was excited! Unfortunately, after downloading the app on my iPhone 12 mini, I had a rough experience using it. First, there was not a clear onboarding process, and I had to guess *how* to start using the app. Eventually, after some tinkering, I entered a practice word, but the onscreen keyboard covered some essential buttons to take the next step. Then, after trying to use the TTS features, the app crashed. So, as version 1.2.8, the app has some UX issues and at least one significant bug. 🐞 Still, I’m really intrigued by what the developer promises. I think this app has great potential, and I’m going to keep my eye out for new versions.

Thanks for making this app!

I am constantly in my car and can wear earbuds at work. The ability to have audio flashcards is going to help me so much in school. THANK YOU!
