I downloaded this app after hearing great reviews. Unfortunately it crashed on open, after contacting the developer the support I received to fix the issue was fantastic, immediate contact and a fix presented within a couple of days. Thank you
Great app. As an industry professional I often use this app on various set ups, gigs etc. Tools are very useful if you know what your doing & how to use them properly. I like the way you can up grade more packages as you need them. A handy little box of tricks to have on your i-phone or i-pad for muso's and techies on the go. Cheers / Brian - AVM pro
Studio Six Digital have created a true research quality sound analysis toolkit that actually affordable. I highly recommend this to any audiologist, sound engineer, audiophile or even any very interested layperson. The initial costs may seem high when compared to other apps (with the unlocked in-app extras I've bought, I think I've paid around NZ$100 so far!), but you have to put this in the context of what you are getting. As a university audiology teacher, I know you would have to pay at least NZ$5,000-$20,000 to get all the supplied features in a true Type 1 sound level meter and sound analyzer. The quality of the programming is top notch. This is clearly crested by sound engineers who know what they are doing. The only thing to be aware of is that the app performance is limited by the quality of the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch hardware. While the iPhone's mics are fairly high quality, and the app has generic correction factors to account for the average mic response, the lowest sound pressure levels you will be able to accurately assess are around 40dB SPL (which is fine for most purposes!) Apparently you can order a Studio Six Digital extension mic that will allow you to go lower, but I haven't tried this yet.
This app looks very interesting. As a newbie, I’m not sure what each subset is supposed to do or how it’s supposed to be used.

the only reason i spent more on this one application than i have on the last seventy applications in the past five years is because the detailed description claims the FFT data can be exported as a text file. This ability is either not actually possible or so hidden and cryptic that is might as well not exist. i have been looking for an hour and cannot find the text file export function.
