Tennis in Australia isn’t like tennis anywhere else in the world.
In January, Melbourne Park vibrates in waves of breathless excitement as the music pumps, the sun shines and the drinks flow. This is a place where the victories are harder fought, rallies more punishing and post-match interviews a little more candid. The Australian Open just hits different.
The official app for the Australian Open 2024 allows you to follow all the action in ways you won’t find anywhere else.
Want to keep across the best points from each match? Our immersive Stories highlights have got you covered.
Maybe you’re after a full press conference from your favourite player? They’re all here.
What about the day’s top highlights? Head to our Videos section for all the action on and off the court.
Just checking a score? The latest scores, draws and schedules are what we do.
You can also customise the app, so you get to experience the AO your way.
Simply set your favourite players, and we’ll customise the app, so you get your favourite players' real-time scores, draws and match highlight videos front and center. You’ll also get notifications when your favourite players’ matches are about to start, so you never have to miss a point.
If you’re lucky enough to be joining us at Melbourne Park, the “Visit” section of the app has got you covered with:
• Easy access to your tickets
• Personalised itinerary planner
• An interactive map displaying the best route and journey time to every part of the AO precinct.
• All the info you need about what is happening around the precinct, including world-class restaurants, bars and shopping

I was so angry about Novaks fathers behaviour today, I cannot understand why he hasn’t been banned from attending matches. It is so sad and heartbreaking what is happening in the Ukraine so for this ignorant man to be allowed to stay in the grounds is absolutely sickening to me.
Brilliant content
Pity the times of games are shown in international time zones
Not Very User-centric
Annoying that the Schedules pages turn into a results page as the matches are played. This creates spoilers for anyone wanting to watch a match later (some of us are at work ...) and want to make use of on demand services. I want to see a schedule on a Schedule page so I can find the match I want to watch. If I want to know a result I will look for a results or scores menu.
The best app in tennis
The best app I’ve seen for following scores, draws, schedules etc
Notifications don’t work
Lousy app. Notifications don’t work at all. All preferences set in app and allowed in phone settings. Scores slow to update.
Rubbish
The app does nothing. It worked fine for the first couple of days. I uninstalled it and then installed, but the issue persists. Even the homepage does not work, forget about results/scores page
Live scores and results
Live scores and results screens quite clunky especially when scrolling and content not rendered, sometimes all I see is ads there :(
Also, got stuck on the splash screen with never ending progress spinner.
Australian Open 2023
Much improved app over previous years but todays update 20/1/23 has stopped the app opening!!! Please fix ASAP!!!
Now working again.
‘Apphazard
When it works, it’s fine. I like to look at the scores and schedule and the draws.
But today it just won’t open. I’ve updated the app. I’ve tried on two different devices - nothing. Very frustrating.
Slow and clunky - Player notification still don't work!
Using on an iPad, the interface is slow, especially scrolling, cluttered and clunky making difficult to view the schedule of play. Player/game notifications still don't work and haven't for the past couple of years which is about the only useful thing in the app - or would be if it worked. It doesn't even comply with UI standards since it doesn't respond to taps to the Status Bar to return to the top of a list. All-in-all pretty-much worthless.
With the poor layout and use of limited screen-space it's even more irritating to have it further cluttered with irrelevant prompts such as to buy tickets - when I'm in the UK. Surely, there should at least be an option for turning this off from Settings.
Much better to view the schedule of play on the BBC website, which is fast, smooth, clear and uncluttered. Even the AO website is significantly better than this app.
