AWS Events FAQ
Is AWS Events free?
Yes, AWS Events is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is AWS Events legit?
⚠️ The AWS Events app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Worst experience during conference with limited internet connection
- Stop forcing updates during the conference - I can’t check my next session check when in rush
- Cache calendar including reserved and favourited sessions so ensure it is always available even no internet connection (because it is a crowded conference!)
- Slow startup time with poor internet connection
- Allow using 2+ devices. Session expires if I log in with another device!
Incorrect & Logouts
The app basically logs you out every second time you open it. You’re in a perpetual state of opening the dang thing and re-entering your credentials. The travel time information does not appear to be based on reality, but merely wishful thinking.
Otherwise it works more or less as you expect, but it often has some issues opening a tab, which requires you to switch back and forth.
1 tap, 5 seconds
Very slow. It’s completely useless.
Very slow UI
The app’s UI responds very slow, I am frustrated very much. Please improve faster.
AWS won’t publish a schedule, so …
The only way to see a schedule arranged by time is to use this app on a phone. (At least that the case for the DC June 2024 Summit)
There’s no web version
There’s no tablet version
So browsing the schedule by time for interesting sessions has to done on a tiny screen
This is stupid and possibly a violation of the ADA
As fast as the app doing what it should, it’s fine, but it shouldn’t be obligatory to have use the app
No way to give feedback but here
It’s ok
Bugs: badge QR code modal does not set brightness back to previous level it leaves it on max when exiting
Ad preferences gives an error… how convenient
Doesn’t work. Logs you out. It’s broken.
Broken. Doesn’t work.
too much garbage, not enough useful
lay off on the marketing and networking a bit until you can get the basics right. its takes forever to start up and half the days it would complain that i needed to update afterward. it constantly logged me out so it often took even longer. simple gps tie-ins would help getting to the talks as vegas casinos are ratmaze nightmares already and some simple streaming support in the app is both mandatory and MISSING. (even if it’s just a url for your browser) basics first guys!
Awful
This app barely functions and is a poor reflection on AWS at a conference to showcase how to deploy and manage apps in the cloud.
Not an event app
The way app displays event information is through a bunch of in-app browsers. Which is a really bad user experience. Even reg didn’t seem to be on a proper reg tool
