BankID is Sweden’s most popular eID. With more than 8 million users and over 6000 connected businesses, authorities and organisations, BankID is an important component of the Swedish digital lifestyle.
With BankID, you can identify yourself and leave signatures digitally. You can access e-services of i.e. the Swedish Tax authorities, public healthcare, Försäkringskassan as well as several businesses. You can also sign agreements such as contracts, payments or loan documents.
To use the BankID app you must get a BankID from your bank.

Hostile hostage enslavement
This app will ruin your life while suspending you in a prolonged state of perpetual bank robbery. As a new immigrant with an iPhone, I feel held hostage by the sinister logic of this system where Bank ID is holding the trigger, robbing me of my dignity and agency as a human being.
By ignoring the initiating context from which on-device authentication requests emerge and shunting all flows back into iOS system default browser Safari, you cannot actually complete any authentication actions that initiate from Chrome. But as a non-Swedish speaker, you can't actually understand any web form or the final submission call to actions unless initiating from Chrome running its auto translate feature. So the fresh hell that was simply navigating all governmental and utility or service site is made an infuriating dead end by Bank ID's refusal to return you back to your originating context for confirmation of action completion.
Worse, your actions often will complete without confirmation. Bank payments in Swish will be debited but not acknowledged by the originating service site in Chrome because Bank ID ejects you to Safari where you are asked to login again, despite having just successfully made your payment transfer. Which might prompt you to repeat transactions multiple times hoping for a different result. Which will require you to later spend hours on customer support numbers trying to reverse these erroneous duplicate transactions. And so on.
The developers of this app are ruining people's lives and should be jailed.
Inloggning med 2 olika koder?
När kommer det att vara möjligt att logga in med de olika koder från 2 olika personer. Rätt så begränsad när man kan bara logga in med en kod. Det hade underlättat mycket, istället för att logga in på olika surfplattor osv
Enkelt men vissa brister
Smidig app för att logga in på sin internetbank, i synnerhet i mobilen.
En uppenbar sak som saknas i nuläget är integration med TouchID i nyare iPhonemodeller som alternativ till den personliga koden. Detta skulle göra appen både smidigare och säkrare.
En annan sak som skulle vara användbar är möjligheten att koppla till mer än ett bankkonto per enhet. Jag har själv två svenska bankkonton för att ha en backup ifall den ena banken råkar ut för ett IT-haveri. Det skulle därför vara vettigt om man kunde använda båda bankernas appar med BankID på samma telefon utan att behöva radera ett BankID för att kunna mata in ett annat.
