The BC Hydro EV network currently has over 160 chargers across B.C., and there are more on the way. Use the BC Hydro EV mobile app to charge your vehicle at our fast charging stations, plus other networks across North America. You can also set up charging notifications, station status updates and order and manage RFID cards for use at charging stations.
The redesigned BC Hydro EV app is launching with new features, including:
- Charging activity reports, to help you understand your car’s charge
- Improved account security with two-factor authentication
- Popular times graphs for chargers, so you can better plan your next charge
- Share your experience with charging site ratings, reviews and images
- Manage your wallet with auto-reload
- Support for higher-powered EV charging ports
- Support for kWh-based billing (launch date subject to approval from B.C. Utilities Commission)

This app has transformed the way I charge my electric vehicle. The user-friendly interface makes finding charging stations a breeze, and the real-time updates ensure I always know where to go for a quick charge. I wouldn't want to travel without it!
Can’t filter chargers by price anymore?!
The app used to let you filter by free/paid chargers. Why is that no longer an option?!
Can’t log in
Here I am in Duncan, late at night, woman by myself in total sketch area and this app will not let me log in or reset my password. It says the number is in use to try a different number. Duh! It’s my number and I am Trying to reset password. Thankfully the person on the help line is giving me comp charge so I can get out of this scary area. Bad app.

I have never received any verification code to my email
Good experience
I’ve needed to charge half a dozen times or so, and so far the experience with BC Hydro ev app and their chargers have been flawless. Im really enjoying the UI, little extras like the SoC/kw graph during the charging session, etc. So far so good, not really sure what other reviews are rubbing into in terms of problems.
Absolute trash
I can’t effectively state how much of a piece of trash this app is. Utter garbage and the makers should be absolutely ashamed. It takes at least 2 minutes to start up, 2-3 minutes to configure and show on the map where you are, and another 2-3 minutes to begin charging, and that’s only IF you are lucky enough to have not accidentally pressed any other button because that results in a 2-3 minute delay to get back to where you need to be. Seriously, you should be embarrassed by what you did BCHydro.
Unreliable
Does not load when needed even with credits downloaded I need to access charging station and pay outside of the app

Updated App Freezes
When through the process of updating and made me go through process of updating password. Then froze after signing in. Deleted and reloaded the IOS app. Froze again. There is serious problem with this app!
