Beck Taxi

Attempted captcha test about twelve times and it just kept telling me something went wrong.

I’ve always paid cash for cabs and prefer it. The need to submit credit card info is fine but then for a driver to call in and cancel the charge once the trip is complete is a complication.

Having the Beck App gives you all the convenience of ride sharing services with out the risks of surge pricing, varying training and qualifications of drivers. If you live in Toronto next time you thinking of *b3ring or calling *ijft.

Dropped pins for pick up at staff entrance, cars constantly arrive at public entrance.

Driver took 20 minutes to arrive when the app said he was 6 minutes away. It looked like he was parked for 15 minutes and only started moving when I called him. Then when he eventually got here, he said that the cost was the meter + $20, totally disregarding what the app said for a price. We did have some cargo to bring, but the vehicle tier selected was a cargo van so the estimate should have been the correct. Ridiculous experience and a waste of time, why bother providing an estimate if your drivers are going to ignore them.

I despise the criminality of the Uber corporate model

My only observation is the fact that now with the app, we can’t add a note to be more specific about the pick up details when we booked the trip to let the drivers know things like…stores name, upper or lower levels or side/number entrances… there are many stores inside the plazas, and some are two floor level stores with different entrances 🤷🏻‍♀️ But other than that, I’m pretty happy with the service. I’ve been using Beck for the past 25 years and never had a problem.

Last fall this app was great and today I used it and it to forever to get through the verify at the stop. After that it worked ok until I got to my destination and I couldn’t give a tip. Got an error message and the only option was to ‘Dismiss’ but the guy said the charge for the ride went through but not the tip. Luckily I had some cash. Happened again on the return trip. Please fix this!

Overall I like the app but I don’t think I’ve had a single trip where the arrival time wasn’t shown as 1 minute. And the taxi is many minutes away. Sometimes as long as 10 minutes or more. This can’t possibly be hard to make more accurate.
