It’s 2024 update and fix this app
1st I’d like to start by saying the word of god doesn’t need ads all throughout it defeats the purpose of a bible app, 2nd it’s 2024 this app needs some serious TLC system and software updates and development are a must! Whatever you do don’t get rid of max mcleans voice it’s the only reason I go back to this app in comparison to other bible apps.
Advertising distracts from worship
The app works ok but there’s no option to purchase to remove ads. Ads are very distracting and totally disrupting to worship experience as it puts noise and flashing images and locks the screen to the advertising. For church and school use there should be a licensing option to remove advertisements.
Adds
I’ve had bible gateway for 10+ years but now unfortunately they have included adds. Before I ever get to open a chapter it now has to play an ad. And for that reason I will be removing it from my device and daily readings. I will have to find another app now.
Poor form - advertising
Having ads pop up which you can’t quickly close is annoying and not appropriate for a bible app. We want to read the bible, not be sold things. I’ve moved to another app.
Too much interference by ads
The ads pop up before you can even read the daily verse. You can’t close them until the ad has shown for a certain amount of time. I’m mostly seeing games or gambling ads even though I don’t do either of these things. Mega annoying when I’m seeking the Word of God. I may delete the app.
Not good
I don’t know what has happened to this app but every time I open it there is an advert for bitcoin. I deleted now but I still get notifications which I’ve tried to unsubscribe from but they keep coming. It’s such a shame
Destroyed by advertisements
I used to use this app all the time but never use it now. Full screen advertising gets in the way of accessing the contents. Deleting the app is my next move.

Keeps crashing
I loved this app before. The last 10 weeks it crashes and I cannot get it to search for a passage under Bible tab. Please fix
