This app used to be good but now with all the ads they disable the opportunity to search for scripture and have you listen to it. Very disappointing.

This used to be the go to app for quick Bible references and deep studies, but as of a while ago, someone thought it would be a good idea to add ads and it’s ruined the entire experience.

Every day I need to uninstall this app and reinstall from the App Store. The screens come up blank and I cannot access anything. Tech support said to reinstall, which fixes it only until the next time I launch it.

I was advised to download this app, and that it no ads. But once I downloaded it, it had ads. I don’t want to look at ads while reading the Bible. Disappointed

Get Rid of the Ads! You are bombarded with advertisements. Not going to use it anymore and will delete it.

I just downloaded this app to have scripture in audio since I don’t see well. The audio portion doesn’t seem to work at all on the app. I wish I hadn’t downloaded this app because, not only does the audio not work, but to download the Authorized KJV it required me to give my email address and agree to receive promotional emails from the publisher, so now my email account will receive those but the app is not even usable. 😞

Use to use this app ALL the time for use with daily Bible reading, in classes, worship service, etc. Now, however it is almost impossible to get to the scripture in less than 5-6 minutes. For some reason, after the app loads all of the kiddie game apps pop up wanting you to sign up or download and you have to figure a way to get out of that to get to the actual Bible scriptures. Once you get to the scripture search you can usually locate the desired reading without a problem. In the past, I was able to just open the app on my phone and get the dashboard to locate another scripture. Now, however, I have to delete the app I have loaded and re-load the app and go through rejecting all the other advertisements to get to Bible Gateway. Is that because this is a free app? I don’t remember having to delete the app before and re-load the app every time I wanted to look up a scripture. I like Bible Gateway, but having to delete and read-load the app each time I want to look up a scripture is not my idea of convenience. There must be something else that compares to the former Bible Gateway app that allows you to exit the app and re-enter at a later time without having to delete, download, re-load and wade through multiple advertisements to get the info you are seeking. Am I missing something with the new app?
