Description

Bicycle Health is a digital health start-up that offers online Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) for individuals with Opioid Use Disorder.
The Opioid Epidemic is a systemic problem - millions of Americans are physically dependent on Opioids but only 10% of Americans have access to treatment. Bicycle Health is addressing this gap by offering personalized, affordable, and confidential treatment with the goal of helping individuals take back control of their lives.
What we provide
Medication Management: A licensed provider will perform a via video call assessment and prescribe Buprenorphine - Naloxone, if appropriate and help taper it down over time.
Counseling: Patients often have co-occurring depression, anxiety, trauma, etc. Our mental health providers have 1-1 video calls with patients to support their behavioral health needs.
Support Groups: Our free Support Groups offer a platform for patients to share their journeys with others, support others, and reflect on ways to achieve emotional growth.
Care Coordination: Through constant communication, our health coaches help patients navigate treatment and life changes as a partner, mentor, and support system.
Our Difference:
We don’t take a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Our philosophy is centered around harm reduction - we cater care plans to meet each patient at their point of need.
Same day appointments. Patients can start our program as soon as they are ready.
We outreach to your patients. Just call, text, or email us if a patient or someone you know is in need of treatment. We will take care of the rest.
Easy access. Patients can reach their doctor anytime, anywhere via text, chat, email, video, or phone and get a response within minutes.
Affordable care. We accept United, Medicare, Cigna, Aetna, and Blue Shield of California (PPO). We also offer a self pay rate of $199/month.

Progress and Outcomes: We have been live since Jan 2019, with positive outcomes:
-2,000+ patients served across the U.S. We are launching in new states weekly - check with us to see if we are available in your region!
-85% abstinence in drug use
-60% improvement in motivation, depression, and patient stress.
Our Technology:
The Bicycle Health mobile application is the primary treatment portal for our patients. Our patients can use our application to conduct video visits with their provider, view and reschedule upcoming appointments, view prescriptions and request refills, access treatment documents, submit toxicology screens, modify billing preferences, and communicate with our care team via secure messaging.
For more information and patient resources, please visit our website at: https://www.bicyclehealth.com/
NOTE: Our application on its own is not intended to provide medical advice; rather, it is designed to communicate the guidance of your medical provider. Please always follow the direction of your medical provider before making medical decisions.

I used this method for 3 months This month May 2024 the health provider FAILED to call the pharmacy for my prescription and I I was with out medication For almost a week it was horrible, I tried to message the personnel and they didn’t care,I was paying so I expect to get good treatment even more when you are at your Lowest but they don’t care, and they take for ever to respond in the message app I’m very upset because I do need help but I’m done with this people they don’t have a good system

Seek treatment some where else. The people are great in the beginning I have been a “patient for over a year it’s 200$ a month no insurance 100$ bi weekly or 50$ weekly even if you make your payments on time they still ask for 200$ even after you pay your month. My care provider we will call her Vicky 👩🏾‍🦰 was so nice and sweet every appointment my last 2 appointments have left me in tears as I had a message from her stating that I was “unstable and not complying” this is a lie she seems to forgot every time I have had an appointment I was at work so I had witnesses to all this work/family I have always turned my drug test in on time I was always honest with her the last time I couldn’t get a word into her for her cutting me off maybe she has personal problems going on i don’t know? But she has discharged me after they overdraft my bank acout into the negative hundreds and said they haven’t got payment on which I have my statements and my fiancé also has access to the features and accounts and I was set on weekly 50$ payments due to following the 1 payment a week I have and she has screen shots were they was trying to hit my bank account literally every day sometimes multiple times in a day(3-6) a day. The dr has tried to black mail me and say I was not turning in urine test LIE (I have screenshots and took extra pics in my photo library in case it didn’t upload never deleted from start) I never missed 1 drug screening during my last visit I had a kidney infection and it was very hard to urienate and she claimed I used synthetic urine?? Never heard of it so I googled it it has been outlawed in my state and is illegal to order in my state. So senes then I turned in urine test 2 actually and passed one 4-2-24 and I have screen shots were they deleted it and said it was unreadable that’s a lie I gave up 1hr 45mins of work to travel back home to turn in that test (also have screenshots and photo proof) she said it was a lie I didn’t turn it in. I have screenshots were I did. They are only in it for the money not to help they will start you on 1 8mg strip next visit move you to 1 1/2 a day and so on and so on till you reach 3 a day the “max dosage” that stuff is just as addictive then the drugs you took before you came for help don’t let them lie to you. She has had me at 3 a day for almost 7 months i believe and there care team guy called me tonight after trying to contact them for 4 1/2 hours we will call him Brad his words was “it’s a money thing” they lite

Pros and cons

I’ve used this app for 7 months now, the doctor was nice and sent my prescriptions in every time, but when my insurance expired, I had to self pay for the treatment and the pharmacy. The only thing is, there’s no communication in the app, they just out of the blue kicked me out of their system and threw a $500 and something dollar bill on me, and told me I’d have to pay $199, make payment arrangements on the current balance, and start all over again, I had no knowledge of the balance, no one called, emailed me or anything, I told them that I was having withdrawals, and she messaged me back telling me to call 911 or go to the ER for help, I ask if I was to pay the $199 the same day can I get an doctor appointment the same day, and of course she tried to schedule me a whole week away AFTER taking the payment if I would have paid, so I told her never mind and ended up going to another provider that I ran across on social media. $99 dollars same day online doctor visit and same day pharmacy pickup, and it’s a whole lot better than this, they only care about money and not the patients!

Reliable and easy

I was on methadone for 15+ years. I was on about 20mg for almost a year and had been having issues with the clinic jerking me around with appointments because I only went once a month. So I stumbled across Bicycle Health and thought to myself, now is the time to take the next step. I went without methadone for almost 2 and a half days before I took my first dose of Suboxone. I felt great 20min later. I didn’t get too sick for the two rays, but felt lazy and lethargic. I switched almost 6 mos ago and am down to 1mg a day. Planning to cut that in half this month and be off in the next 2-3 completely! The dr is see virtually is great and I always get the alerts on the app when I need a urine. Wish you all the best in your recovery

This app has helped me out a lot. They are here to help and they do an excellent job with it. They don’t judge only help those who need it and are very supportive. The doctor I have is very helpful and listens and ask questions about your goals and he cares about his patients. I am glad I found this app it has saved me from a dark road and placed me on the path to recovery.

Bad doctor experience

Nick1857 on

On top of being twice as much as competitors (QuickMD), I had a really bad experience with the doctor I got. They were rude and condescending, and Bicycle health didn’t care when she straight up hung up on me. Garbage service, use QuickMd over this trash

Thanks

I wasn’t even in the program for a month and they’ve charged me and my insurance over $800. The mix of medication they prescribed me caused me jaundice after I told this “medical professional” that I was experiencing pain and symptoms associated with liver problems…. I’ve never had liver problems. They refunded me the initial $200, but then sent me a $500 bill after insurance.I can’t get anyone to help me or even contact me. The billing department never responds promptly on the app. The woman I spoke to told me to wait 48 hours for a response to my inquiry and got back to me LITERALLY 2 weeks later. Praying they don’t send me to collections while I’m waiting for a response, but they keep sending me bills, so I’m assuming they’re going to screw me like the predators they are.
