Blacklane used to be great but currently it’s a disaster !!!
I’m working with Blacklane, as a chauffeur in London !
So many high demands, only Black cars, maximum 4 years old, all suited up, only Evian water and all these things for 28£/trip in central London, amount from which you also need to pay commission to your registered operator;
Invest in a almost new Mercedes E Class, approximately 50.000£ and do these type
of trips or if you’re focusing on doing long distance trips you’ll literally do in average 8000-10000 miles per month on your car !!!
At airport pickups, Blacklane doesn’t pay your pickup fee … which is another rubbish approach if your client gets out late threw the gates …
In case of a low rating from a client (even given by accident by a client) you are flagged by operators and charged higher commission (from 15% to 20%) … and you also lose your bonus streak.
Beside this, you have the enormous discomfort to stand 24/7 with your phone in your hands and stalk the app so you can pick lighting speed disappearing trips !!!
When there is a big volume of incoming trips, the app literally crashes !!!
Conclusion : too much headache and too much investment in a platform that literally doesn’t give 0 dammes about chauffeurs ! Chauffeurs are just donkeys for them and that’s it !!! No appreciation at all from this company and I think, in the near future, some chauffeurs will take legal action against this company for their way of conducting business in London !!!

Not worth to work with BlackLane
By Uber comfort job driver can earn more money than doing First Class job with BlackLane. Business trip from Heathrow to central London driver can get £60 now 10% operator commission, central London fee airport parking fee and fuel cost. This job will take minimum 2 hours. Hardly driver will make £20 an hour. Why should you not work as a security guard or drive with small car at Uber as Uber X.
A job from Heathrow to Liverpool was £320 for 340km
60 minutes priority then 30 minutes airport time then 5 hours travel to Liverpool, no job on the way back.
I don’t know which kind of driver that will be to perform this job.

App stable, but save to calendar function not working
The save ride to calendar function has stopped working on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, this was very useful to track all my jobs for the day and for future rides picked. Please fix or bring back.

Worst company I’ve ever work for, the expectations are high from chauffeurs but the pay is rubbish ( no Pick up/ Drop off fee is paid towards airport trips - expect to provide a free bottle of water - 1 hour complimentary wait at the airport - however when it comes to getting paid at the end of the week/month 10-15% are deducted from your wages and they always find a way to issue a penalty to the chauffeur THEY ARE SIMPLY STEALING MONEY from chauffeurs.
