Bug fixes needed

Used to work just fine - now every time I open the app I have to wait 5 mins for it to load, all the while staring blankly at a spinning circle. Not exactly business-friendly.

My firm (one of the largest banks in the world) has finally moved on from BlackBerry to another application. This is my happiest day at work. Finally I don’t need to use this dreadful UI anymore. So long BlackBerry UEM! I’ll be surprised if you still exist in a few years.

Push notifications are broken!

Push notifications have stopped working - I am getting nothing coming through. I have everything enabled in the notification Center in the IOS settings for Blackberry Work, as well as having the notification enabled in Blackberry Work itself in the Notification & Sounds settings section as well but still I am having no luck! This is incredibly frustrating.

Not working most of the times

Every couple of days the app stops working showing just the loading screen, also stopping the user to even look at already received mails. Closing the app or shutting the phone is not working, just need to wait and it will start working again in some hours. In the meantime mails are received (notifications can be seen) but they are impossible to read. When the app is working, notifications are not working majority of the time. This should be an app for work and it’s the most unreliable app I have ever seen.

Email composition issues on iPad

New version has bugs for Emil composition on iPad where I cannot scroll down the email when I am in reply mode. Pls fix Thanks

Dreadful: try to persuade your IT dept to abandon it

This app awful. Three aspects in particular: 1. Email notifications often arrive 30 mins+ or even many hours after the email was actually received in your Outlook inbox. If you’re focusing on something else and relying your phone to alert you, it makes you look bad for not noticing and being able to reply to urgent emails. 2. The email app doesn’t show previews of emails you receive, so you must open the app every time you receive an email, to see who it’s from; and 3. When you open the Work app, it often goes through a pointless charade of cycling through the ‘Blackberry UEM’ app first, and loudly declaring that your phone is secure, before allowing you to proceed. This is pure security theatre: vapid, lobotomised procrastination confected solely to bolster ignorant users’ perception that BlackBerry are earning their fees. Opening an app should be seamless: users don’t need a dog and pony show for the sake of advertising, and it speaks to the lack of substantive merits of the app that BlackBerry feel the need to subject users to this farrago of nonsense.

App no longer works

For weeks I’ve no longer been able to use blackberry work on my phone - the error message comes up repeatedly saying “Gate IOS is no longer available”. I can’t access work emails anymore!

Truly awful

As many others have stated, my organisation uses this app for their BYOD email. It is just awful, and the behaviour is so inconsistent. Some days I will get notified I have received an email, others I will not (I have tried everything from having the app open in the background constantly to restarting the phone etc). Some days I will get notifications but no sender or subject, others I will get both. The calendar will only sync when opening the app, therefore new appointments accepted during the day when using my laptop don’t automatically feed through, whereas cancelled meetings still send a reminder despite then being deleted! Occasionally the app will do some strange behaviour where emails will not refresh - you have to literally delete everything and start again, which when you have to follow a set sequence to ensure it works properly is just awful. You really have to hope it doesn’t play up when travelling and need to get to hotel reservations! Compared to Outlook which my previous company used, this is many steps backwards. Simple features outlook offered like email previews in notifications is not there, and the UI is completely unintuitive. Blackberry used to be a massive player in corporate email - you wouldn’t believe many years later this is what they now offer!

Terrible app

I am going to recommend to work to switch to another mail system. Where is the “calibre” custom font? New Mail push notifications don’t come half the time and then 100 will arrive at once after a few days…
