Set up
Says it's an easy set up but doesn't give you a video from the QR code and it's hard to find who to contact to trouble shoot. Very frustrating with the appearance of a quick and easy set up
Yes, Black is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Tried to get this set up for my aunt to go on vacation. The app kept erroring on her phone (Android). Deleted app and reinstalled, didn’t work. Downloaded on my iPhone and it worked. I did a data update on the device and then the Android phone could connect. By the next morning the Android didn’t recognize the device. Now a week into it and the device is not able to be identified by my iPhone. Horrible app as it kept changing the temp that was set on “hold” mode. She woke up with the house being 60 when it was 10 below zero!
In the beginning, the app worked great. For several months now it has not worked at all. The camera still works. The monitor it came with for use in the house works. The app does not.
Better off using official Tuya Smart App instead of this ripoff
I’m attempting to connect an $80 undercabinet light with smart home capabilities and the app could not scan the product’s QR code and did not have it included in the app’s product set up directory. Bummer.
Works very well.
