Blade FAQ
Is Blade free?
Yes, Blade is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Blade legit?
🤔 The Blade app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Don’t waste your money on the flight insurance. If they cancel your flight on you and claim all they can give is credit, open a dispute and you can get your money back that way. That’s what I did when blade canceled mine.
Flight insurance is a rip.
Revamp the app
The impact of a beautiful UI and frictionless UX mustn’t be understated. Blade’s needs some work if it truly intends to be the “Uber of air mobility”.
The amount of bugs this thing has is hilarious
After a few years, the UI of this thing is still stupidly pathetic
Please include the schedule of the flights accordingly
Please auto apply credits / return trips
It’s almost as if a toddler designed this.
Awesome company; bad app.
Blade is awesome. One of the most important startups of our time. But the app is terrible. It feels like some sort of laggy website that’s barely even mobile-optimized. Definitely not native. The app should be a lot better.
horrible customer service
they canceled my flight early morning and told me to use my credits for another car concierge service 2 hours before they open… but they’re not open to even book it
False Advertisement
Advertises itself as comparable to Uber with prices but its simply not true lol
$195 per person to JFK is not the same as a $60 car.
Cool service - tricky advertising
Blade is running ads on TikTok that advertise their flights from Manhattan to NYC airports as “less than an Uber” and “less than a cab”.
What they WANT you to think is “less money? Oh sure, I’ll download”. It’s a tricky play on words, as it’s less TIME and not less MONEY.
A seat on a flight on a weekday between 7am-7pm is $195. Any other time or day is $1,500+.
That doesn’t include extra luggage.
I think this is a GREAT idea, but marketing needs to be more up-front about the cost or customers like me feel slightly deceived.
Great app, great service!
App is easy to use in my opinion, their service to the airport was fantastic.
It’s never gets old flying Blade
The app is informative and fluid to use. The flying experience itself is always flawless. The staff in the lounges and the ground crew are always smiling, and whether I’m flying NYC for a quick flight to the Hamptons or NYC to Aspen, the time seems to slip by so peacefully (and it definitely beats flying commercial)! Great customer service as well.
Terrible service and experience
Blade royally messed up my travel to the airport this morning - they texted me at 7am that my flight was on time and departing at 9am from the west side heliport to get to JFK by 9:05am for my flight out at 10am. My friend who was on the same flight got a text that the flight had been canceled at 7am, but blade didn’t text me about the cancellation until 8:30am, after I had left for the west side heliport. I had to scramble to arrange my own transportation to JFK and am working to rebook on a new flight at my expense since I won’t arrive in time due to Blade’s negligence and terrible service.
I signed up to use Blade for the first time to have a more relaxed, efficient, and nice experience getting to the airport from Manhattan and they provided the exact opposite. Do not use them!!
