Messages opens up to create new message

tadaspetra on

Have had this app for a while, really enjoying it but a recent update causes iMessage to open up with a “new message” screen that I have to cancel every time. Quite annoying, but love it other than this bug

Excellent Design + Room to Improve

Terriffico on

The UX of the widgets is so clean and thoroughly considered that it feels totally native to my phone. Absolutely love the granular level of customization to type and backgrounds. There are a few areas with room for improvement. Number one being the need for shortcuts to be installed for some apps to integrate. The second, when searching the ‘Don’t see your app?’ nav, the shadow element around the search bar makes the first result untappable. I’m still in free trial but have already noticed a difference in how this app interrupts time wasting habits, and I’ll probably spring for the lifetime upgrade when it’s time. UPDATE: After a few more days of use the experience is still overwhelmingly positive but a few more snags became apparent. 1 the ‘Add apps’ search would make more sense as an alphabetized list of apps already installed on a user’s device vs the current system of jumbled apps from the entire app store. 2 the experience of moving apps between widgets could be improved, possibly with a birds eye view UI or checkbox editing system. 3 a shortcut that automates changing the phone wallpaper to match the light/dark mode widgets would make for a much more integrated feeling with iOS (this used to be easy enough for users to setup natively but since iOS 16 wallpapers have become kind of a pain)

Disappointed

ElJefeTX on

Love the concept, dislike the business tactics of this dev. If you’re going to provide a promo, utilize the IAP. That is the common practice and it assures users that they can restore via Apple. The way you chose to implement the promo at best disregards your users and at worst it is dishonest.

Excellent, Beautiful, Liberating

carlislebham on

Within moments of finishing setup, I felt such ease of mind. Never thought my phone would look so simple, elegant, and free of distraction. I also suggest pairing this with the “grayscale” setting in iPhone and a matte screen protector. completely flattens your phone back into the communication and research tool it was meant to be.

Dock won’t disappear

Keepingtrackoftime on

Was there an update? Yesterday my dock was gone and looked great. This morning I woke up and the doc was back, even with using the default dark wallpaper from the Blank Space app. I tried restarting the phone, adding apps back to the dock and then removing them, I even downloaded the wallpapers again and tried setting them up, but nothing. Yesterday was my first full day with the app. Did this occur due to focus mode switching when my phone auto changed to sleep mode at night?

Opening Message App wonky

asisler47 on

Love the app. Simple to use, sleek, exactly what I’ve been looking for. Been using it for a week. Most annoying aspect is the wonky iMessage app opening to a new message. Would prefer it opening to the messages page. Otherwise amazing so far.

Too basic

Josiah Sprague on

It should allow adding shortcuts or app URLs instead of just app store apps, and it would be amazing if it could support notification badges.

Doesn’t work

tpiaswordfish on

Not only is the pricing model of “we’ll only let you try this after you subscribe” obscene, but once you do pay it just straight up doesn’t work. Half the words are cut off on my iPhone mini, and it crashed about five times in the first few minutes. I don’t seem to be able to set any widgets at all.

Great design

Sunroseserenity on

I used this app for a few months and then needed to edit what apps I had on here and could not figure out how. I then deleted the app to reset the apps. This worked. It allowed me to edit then but my subscription no longer shows and I couldn’t find a lot of the apps I wanted so it’s template though beautifully minimalist has some limits. I am giving it 4 stars because it does do what it promises! I am no longer using the app because of the setup issues. It’s too time consuming to keep trying to edit.
