BLISS™ Automation by Alta Reviews

Not compatible with all Apple devices

I’d really like this to be available on Apple Watch. So much more convenient if so. Siri commands don’t work on watch.

Crashes

beshda02 on

App continually crashes. Not able to add hub or shades to automate.

Not reliable

sledmonkey on

United States

The app used to be decent but last few versions the schedules just don’t persist. I’ll have an automation to close at sunrise and then open 45 minutes later but only the closing works. Additionally I routinely have shades drop out of the app altogether. Bottom line, if you’re researching these blinds before buying I’d suggest you look elsewhere until they can develop actual functioning software.

Control4 users and dealers beware

Dragonsmoke6 on

Shade position in the app is rarely accurate. This wreaks havoc in my control4 home automation as well. The app/hub are very very slow to send commands to the shades. It is unusable with control4 which is the No. 1 professional home automation company in the USA. There is no way to see the status of the hubs in the app (wired ethernet hubs), no way to update the hubs firmware and swapping hubs requires complete reprogramming of every shade, recreating rooms, scenes and re-pairing. Its crazy that the shade pairing information is not stored in the account and there is no simple way in the app to re-assign hubs and shades in case a hub needs to be relocated or additional hubs need to be added to ensure good coverage.

Worked Flawlessly…

My most recent adjustment caused the automation to stop working. It shows that the blinds should open every morning at 8 and close at 5:30. But they don’t. All toggles are on. Very frustrating.

It’s functional enough

Basically just a remote for blinds that’s on your phone. UI is fine. there was a way to preset some blinds to always raise or open to a certain height. Recently several rooms and blinds just disappeared from the app with no notice. Attempting to add them back to the app get an errors that says that room still exists…? Have tried resetting the bridges and still no luck.

Continually Crashed

I’ve had to add back my 10 blinds for the 3rd time since they were installed Monday. The app works fine then they just disappear…..

Absolutely awful

Never works right, incorrect information. Loses shades. No one to contact.

Needs HomeKit support

Sarb21 on

Very basic controls and works as expected for the most part. Not having HomeKit support is a real downer.

Inconsistent

Michael48094 on

United States

Some blinds open properly at sunrise but don’t close at sunset. Some blinds don’t work at all. Others work perfectly, but only on certain days. The company reports that they update the software, I just don’t see any changes. Maybe the engineers should go to a customers house that is having problems (clearly I’m not the only one) and figure this app out. Even my installer says his blinds are inconsistent
