Description

This app is a CLIENT for the Blue Iris Windows PC software. In order to make use of this app, you must have Blue Iris version 5 installed and running on a Windows PC or VM. Instructions for connecting this app to the PC software are found in the Remote Access chapter of its Help file.

This app provides a single point of contact to your home camera network. There is no need to insecurely open individual cameras to the Internet. This app connects using a secure and session-based protocol--no passwords are transmitted in plain text.

Remote access does require router configuration or NGROK, which you can test without the app by using Safari. You should see your Blue Iris login page.

- Manage multiple Blue Iris installations
- Geofencing: set status, send alerts, and more in response to device location *
- Control the shield icon, schedule and profile selection
- Receive iOS push notification alerts when a Blue Iris camera is triggered or there is a critical status message

- Navigate cameras by tapping and swiping
- Review recordings as stored on the Blue Iris PC, up to 64x speed
- Download recorded video from the Blue Iris PC to the iOS device
- Selectively delete recordings from the Blue Iris PC
- Broadcast live video from the iOS device directly into a Blue Iris PC camera window
- Remote control DIO output signals on compatible devices
- Baby monitor functionality: continue to listen to audio with app closed or device in standby **

Brilliant system

Takes some time getting used to, but plenty of online help available. It replaced my noisy NVR and now I’m addicted to adding cameras LOL! The Ipad and samsung phone apps are great too :)

Awful afterthought of an App.

Consistently crashes with message “Restart after unexpected shutdown” over the last half dozen of updates.

AI no longer working in app

I can no longer see AI events within the app and view the recording related to AI events

Great piece of software and good app

This app has been pretty much flawless for me. I had a problem with a recent app update which the Developer worked with me to resolve. Turned out that it was a problem to be more likely my end but we found a resolution. BlueIris is a very powerful application, can’t fault it.

Latest update wont load

Installed the latest update on iPhone 11 Pro Max and now it quits the app every time I login, was working fine prior to this most recent update

Update to 2.01.00 defects

I have been using BI for nearly a year an on 5.5.1.4 now. I paid for this app on my iPad Air 2 running IPadOS 14.8, and today my iPad updated the app to version 2.01.00. All was working ok until this update installed, I have found a couple of defects with this version on my iPad:- First - When viewing live BI via the app, every 45 seconds the screen darkens then goes off for a second and then returns to normal viewing…so annoying when I am watching something about to happen. Second - when going from this app to any other app and then back to this app, it displays main screen with the 3 pie charts, and won’t let me go to the cameras again, I have to close this app and restart to view anything Please resolve these defects, I was getting used to app before this update, thanks

Really bad, waste of money.

Really expensive app for what it does, doesn’t get 4K resolution, and the videos or snapshots have a really poor quality. The UI is as well really bad looks like windows 95.

new UI 🤢

It's a good app, but the redesigned UI feels like a big step backwards, particularly the popup clip player. Viewing a clip is now far smaller than the previous version, where it was shown inline instead of an unnecessary popup. Despite my cams all having PTZ controls disabled, the popup shows a very deep PTZ panel on the popup, reducing the clip area even further. Please bring back the inline clip player, the popup is really awful

Updated UI is a pain

The updated UI is poorly designed for the iPad, used to be great before. For example a pop up window for playback of clips, that should just be full screen with a close option at top right (where there is currently a delete clip button... which again is poorly placed)... this needs a easy, quick UI for people just opening app and checking their CCTV in a the easiest and fastest way possible.

Great app but crashes often

Been using this for years now, nice to see the recent update too very refreshing however the crashing between live and playback still happens which is still frustrating. Otherwise it’s a solid app!
