I use this at work on pc for marking up engineering drawings and wanted to be able to use the apple pencil on the ipad. Problem is the pencil doesn't work well. You can write joined up text smoothly, but if you write individuals letters at normal writing speed it can't keep up and randomly misses out letters. Basically when lifting the pen on and off the screen in rapid succession it struggles. I'm using M1 ipad 12.9. Every now and then i check back to see if it has been fixed and nope.
Possibly the worse app I’ve ever used. If i could give it 0 stars i would.
Not had any of the issues mentioned on here, only thing i am not keen on is the syncing my files back to the server, doesnt seem to work as it should, and is a bit clunky Mark ups fine, can alter things no problem except for comments made by other softwear for some reason, but found a way around that
Purchased this as we use the desktop app in the office. The iPad app is quite dated and very clunky. It really needs an update, particularly freehand drawing/writing with a stylus. I use OneNote for all my notes which is fantastic for writing with a stylus. OneNote is light years ahead of Bluebeam there. For the time being, I’m persevering with bluebeam on my iPad but only because the desktop app is so good.
Keeps crashing. Says low memory but loads available
You should stay well away from this. You cannot do anything with your marked files because there’s no iOS file access and integration. Honestly, you cannot save your files anywhere outside the app so you can either Dropbox sync them or you’re stuck. No security settings either so if your pdf is locked, you cannot unlock it or even save a copy. I repeat, basically you cannot save a file outside of the app. Imagine that. I assume this is a halted development project so just stay away.
The app is awful and I love the desktop version! No polylength measuring which is a must for measuring travel distances, unable to reorder pages. Unable to access documents from files app and then forced to use the file sharing apps that I don’t use. (No OneDrive or iCloud or Google drive)
It seems like this app development was all but halted. The design and function are far from that of the advertised desktop app and integration with OS is very limited. A shame.
Despite the needlessly complex route to get there, I managed to be able to exchange files between my main PC and my IPad. But, there is little to no functionality for this app in comparison to the windows version. Why is it not just a replicated version for IPad?? It seems as though it must have taken more effort to redesign it to be this convoluted and estranged from the windows application. You may be able import custom markups, but the custom columns you might use to accompany them can’t be imported, neither can your custom profile! Even things such as line-width are needlessly limited to 12, when they can go to 100 on windows. This app was designed for people on site to just look at PDFs, not as a mobile continuation of the windows application. For £10 it’s beyond a waste of money!
