Description

The BodyState score ranges from 1 to 100, powered by the metrics that matter most. Sleep shows how well you’ve recovered, while HRV and resting heart rate reveals how you’re handling stress. Acute training load (ATL) reflects the impact of movement and workouts. Together, these metrics give a clear, actionable picture of your energy every day.
Your body is unique, and so is your energy. BodyState learns your typical ranges for each metric, helping you see how today’s metrics stack up against your personal baseline. By understanding what’s normal for you, the app gives you deeper insights into how your lifestyle impacts your energy.
BodyState is designed with your privacy in mind. There’s no need to create an account, and your data stays on your device—it’s never shared or stored externally. The app is completely free to use, giving you powerful insights into your energy without any barriers. Simple, secure, and built to fit seamlessly into your life.

BodyState Reviews

Nice app with potential!

I particularly like that it show and uses fatigue (acute training load).

Adding an Apple Watch Widget

I love this app. It works great and it's amazing that it’s free. Can you add an Apple Watch widget? That would be the perfect cherry on top.

Almost there. A few, critical, missing pieces.

This is quite good for a simple overview. For someone coming from body battery this is really legible, but for someone like myself this is actually pretty difficult to wade through because the information area relates more of why things are measured and how they are averaged than actually teaching us what the information means and how we can use it and why it is measured. I had to research body battery itself to understand what I needed. While the main overview is simple and to the point, which is a positive imo, but it is almost too simple. I can see a history, or graphs, or deeper insights. There is a niche for this app where it can present information on the surface similar to body battery, but then can be dug into to show information in a manner similar to Whoop or Athlytic. TLDR: don’t treat this app like everyone will already be familiar with Body Battery. Educate us fully like we are dummies because most people using this will have always had Apple Watches and therefore won’t have used body battery before.

Very Useful

I’ve never used an app that is this useful for only having one screen of data. The algorithms that determine your baseline RHR and HRV only during sleep and then show your values for the previous night are really useful, this data is more meaningful than just looking at what is displayed in the apple health app, since the default health app data is 24/7 and I specifically want to see what my HR and HRV was at rest to estimate my recovery. The latest update fixed the stuck on “fetching data” bug so ignore the first round of bad reviews for that. The BodyState value itself is accurate too, I’ve been close to 100 on good days, and very low on days when I had poor sleep and bad recovery, so this definitely matches the relative accuracy of Garmin body battery. You should include a tip jar in the app, this is really useful for a free app!

Great

Awesome so far, the update today cleared up issues and it’s working better. Looking forward to Apple Watch complications!

Great app

It is a great app and easily to navigate. But I could not see the full sleep baseline due to the length and body state history. Also, it will be better to give any suggestions for the improvement. If those problems could be solved, I would love the app!!
