Bookmobile Audiobook Player

Seems this app is no longer supported, which is a great pity. It no longer connects to Librivox or podcasts and menus are corrupted in newer devices. I’ve been using the app for many years, but looks like it’s time to find a new one.

Frustrating app that constantly loses its place in you book and restarts from the beginning. It does keep bookmarks that allow you to manually find your last spot, but constantly having to use them is a royal pain.

The biggest problem with this application, if I pause it, put it down, and then come back to it and unpause it, on too many occasions. It has lost progress or reset to the very beginning. I have to handle the application with care, unlocking my phone each time and pausing and closing the app when I am done. This just ruins the functionally of the app. Worse it doesn’t happen every time, just when I am in a hurry and need it to just pause.

Fantastic App. Highly customisable and open/global playback of audio from a multitude of sources. iOS 15 - working as per previous versions. Occasional bug here and there but nothing that detracts from overall use. One request- it’s been some time since the last app update. Could the devs please roll out sometime soon.

Easy to use audiobook player with multiple loading options. The evening usage of the app is tarnished by the lack of a dark mode. Please team, bright screens are so 2015. Thanks for an otherwise great app.

This is the best audiobook player out there. Would have given it a 5 star rating if it weren't for a weird bug where it skips back when my car connects to my phone and the app's running. Wishlist: Please add Apple Watch support!

This used to be my favourite app. After an increasing number of bugs, I have now abandoned it. It continually reverts to the beginning of the chapter after pausing and the automatic bookmark function in not reliable any more. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but this did not fix the problem. I contacted the developer some time ago but received no reply. I wonder if he has stopped supporting this app.

Edit since most recent update - sleep timer starts now, but the app doesn't recognise remote play/pause anymore (just plays, no pausing) and the sleep timer end doesn't place a correct bookmark. Instead, the chapter starts over again next time you press play). This is easily one of my most used apps. It's been absolutely fantastic, but since upgrading to the iPhone 11 Pro, the sleep timer no longer starts automatically when playback starts. I often use audiobooks at night, so relied on this feature heavily. Emails to the developers have gone unanswered, making me wonder if the app is still being supported. I've already pinpointed the various instances where the issue appears, so happy to be contacted about it. Please, please, fix this issue and you're back to 5/5 stars!
