Random bugs stop cooking
If I could I would give it negative stars. Random bugs stop cooking with my Joule making cooks longer than an hour risky. Stops cooking and no cook history. Reporting bugs gets no response from the Breville support.
Really? I have to spend $400 to see a recipe?
Breville won’t show me a cookie recipe because I don’t have the Pro version of their Smart Oven with Air Fryer, just the standard version. When I try to view the recipe it takes me to a link to buy the Pro version for $400. And the recipe was mentioned in an email they sent me.
Better connectivity
This connects to my Joule immersion circulator mech more consistently than the Joule app ever did
Great quality
Have purchased Breville oven air fryer, Joule, and control freak induction unit. Very happy with performance of each product and the quality is excellent.
Lots of recipes & airplane mode
What I love about the app is all the recipes the step-by-step process in the videos. I very much appreciate that on each step I can scroll down and see all the ingredients I need. I don’t have to keep going back-and-forth to the ingredients list. The videos are helpful if I’m a little confused, I can ignore them if I’m not. I have used the app with my joule Sous vide and my joule air fryer pro. I would love to have the Control Freak Induction cooktop added to the app.
I work for it, because it doesn’t work for me
It does not maintain connection between the Joule and my iPhone 15Pro. I have to reconnect it every time I perform a task, such as turning it on, setting temperature, or cook time.

Consistently work well with my Joule. Seems to work a lot better than the previous version, especially on connectivity.

Good Reference
Handy for settings even if you use a different device. Visual doneness feature is helpful.
