BrickScan by BrickMonkey Reviews

Not free

It’s so annoying that I would have to pay to check the price of my mini figures I thought it was free until I started taking pictures and it said I had to buy a subscription.

Huge time saver

Yes you can use Google lens to do the same thing but it’s not the same thing. After getting exhausted with how much time it took to use lens, I searched for something else and this is exactly what I was looking for

Not a good app. It loses Wi-Fi often and only gets the piece correct like 50-75% of the time. Definitely unacceptable, considering the developer used months of labor and data collection from his users before slapping a paywall on the app lol. It should be illegal for a developer to provide an app for free, collect months of user data to make the app better, then pull a bait-and-switch on everyone that did all the work for them, REMOVE core functionality from the app, and try to charge $$$ for an app you already own. Like there should literally be a law against exactly this.

Was good, but cost are too high

The standard features are now locked behind a premium subscription. Limited to only 5 scans. Bummer was enjoying it but the cost is too high, when on can used Google lens to do the same.

Exactly What I was Looking For!

I stumbled across this app and after trying it out, I immediately bought premium. This is a very small price to pay for all the time it will save me. I hope the developer will get enough subscribers to continue to add sets on a regular basis. Thank you for taking the time to code this and hope to see more features to come.

A must have!

This is my first review ever!, if that doesn’t say anything then I don’t know what els would. I truly don’t know what I would do without this app, as someone who has sorted 1000+ figures/parts and complete 500+ figures I am very satisfied with this incredible app!, a lot of the negative reviews are regarding the premium cost, which in my opinion having the premium option has been incredible, it’s worth every penny to me. The other side of negative reviews is the app not being able to distinguish the pieces, which that tends to be a user error, make sure the photo is clear I can’t stress that enough, I love this app!, I also like a lot how it will not only tell me the value of the figure but it will also give me a URL link that directs me to the market where I further expand my knowledge. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thank you to the developers of this app, I truly give you all props for the creativity and the functionality of this incredible app, 5 stars all day from me!

Three star semi fun

It’s fun to use but the fact that it only gives you 5 scans a day if your using for free it’s not useful if you only get five scans

Overly greedy

The app now has a premium subscription, with most features locked behind a paywall. Do not download.

Used to be good

Never mind I just needed to update but I still hate what you did with it

Everything has to be premium

Jojones05 on

This app used to be amazing, used it everyday and helped me a lot on not only building minifigures and seeing the price but also to help me with bricks that I didn’t know what the set was from, I would had recommended this app to any Lego enjoyer like myself but unfortunately now there’s an unlimited amount of photos to take. 5 a day photos for 50 dollars a year for stuff that used to be free, I cannot say the amount of hate I have for this app now, every scan app has to have some sort of premium feature that takes features that anyone could use back then but then an update comes and you are no longer able to use that feature unless you give them ✨MONEY✨ As soon as this update has happened I’ve seen a recent change in reviews. Brick monkey if you don’t see these reviews you truly are blinded by greed like the rest of todays mobile apps, For anyone who doesn’t want to pay this absurd amount of money, you can try google lens for free..
